Ya guys know I LUVS ya all (but specially Han, BB and OTD), and I feel for ya too. Those VZW Boardroom videos were made with LOVE dammit!!! ;)

But I gotta tell ya, every day you spend sitting here in the purgatory of "WHEN?!?!?" is another day that you COULD have been a satisfied, happy ReZound owner like me. :D

It won't be long before we have S-Off, and ICS Roms, and this HTC phone....... MAN.......... this HTC phone....... maybe I am biased because I do use my phone for music a lot each and every day, but this phone is THE SHIZZLE!!!

They could release the Nexus right now for $99 RETAIL and I would STILL say that "You can have my ReZound when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers".............

I'm Just saying. Your mileage may vary. But I think you've all suffered enough. And besides, when was the last time (and when will be the NEXT time), that you can experience an HTC device that GETS GREAT BATTERY LIFE?!?!?! :p :p :p

For you "Give me NEXUS or give me DEATH" folks, I hope you get a CONFIRMED Release date soon - VZW has screwed with you far too long as it is!! For those of you who are thinking, or have thought, "Maybe I will do the "Rent-a-ReZound" program........ go ahead - the 14-day versus Jan 15 return window won't matter cause you will probably fall in love just like me!!! Get perm root, drop the bloat, throw an ICS ROM on there and it will be GO TIME BABY!!!! :D

I'm not here 39 times a day like I was when I was waiting out the Nexus, but I am still here, and I will NOT leave my beloved Nexians until VZW finally decides to RELEASE THE KRAKEN.............. LOL

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!!!!

PS - Is Han HATING VZW or LOVING VZW today? Just wondering... :p

Based on the information we were given by OUR contact at #Verizon, we are set to have stock on 12/9. We will update here when we know more.
I guess 12/9 is really when they're expecting shipment. Curious...

I'm so happy that you love your phone. Sometimes things happen for a reason.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Hans is currently in a happy place with verizon. At least for this very moment. He is still like a school girl in love with his Dinc2.

He DOES realize that VZW Tracy sent him the "Carbonite" model, right?? :p

Honestly, from the outside looking in, i cant believe how you lot across the pond are treated. Even if you are all waiting on Verizon, Google should just release SIM free handsets and let people pony up their own cash because it seems like some are prepared to do that. If business tactics like that happened over here there would be an uproar.

@NegriElectronic that's cause VZW is worried about their marketing to much, #NEGalaxyNexus is better than a #VZGalaxyNexus

Hypothetical....let's just say Verizon ends up just scrapping Gnex in general. Right now what is the best phone they have to offer. I plan to root and customize probably w/ CMx whenever it is available. Would love any input.

Razr & Rezound, each with it's pluses & minuses. Some have gotten impatient and gotten one of these two and have not looked back. I currently have the Rezound and it really is a very nice device that does most things well. Aside from the lousy hard buttons for power and vol + & -, there's not much to fault. I don't particularly like Sense, but some do.

I'm still waiting for the Nexus, but if that doesn't work out I'll probably wind up with the Razr and be very very happy. Both the Razr & Rezound will soon be getting ICS, so not much will be lost.

Fair enough- I hope you're right, because if you are, VZW won't dare to screw up the GNex launch any more than they already have.

And I postulate: How have they screwed it up?

I know the popular opinion is that they are incompetent, inept and only concerned with greed. But the situation is more complex than most people can comprehend. I've been in similar situations, from the inside, and can understand public opinion on the perception that a company has no idea what they are doing.

Back to "screwed up launch". By most rumors, there have been issues with the software. We here would also be the first to crucify Verizon for releasing a product that is incomplete. We'd then all be screaming that they rushed an unfinished product out the door for greed. So it's far more prudent for them to hold back the date.

As for being more forthcoming with information, this is something that I would like.......but absolutely understand why they won't. Suppose they announced a date, then had to backpedal and told us it was because of problems. We'd here be happy. Horray!

But the public relations nightmare would only be starting. Imagine articles on MSNBC and CNN stating that it's held back because of issues. The casual buyer sees that and gets turned off. Now imagine an Apple campain talking with Justin Long crucifing a robot over his inability to get released. Imagine the backlash from other competitors such as blackberry or WinMo lambasting Google for it's inability to release a flagship phone. An ice cream sandwich getting squashed or some such nonsense.

No, as much as we don't like not knowing, Verizon is doing the absolute correct thing here. Keep in mind, that Google and Samsung are also invovled. There is no animosity, not hatred. All companies are working together to get this phone released. All the conspiracy theories are absolute bunk.

I thought the ReZound was a really good phone when I looked at them, and that's actually why I chose the Rent-a-RAZR. I was afraid I might not want to trade it in for the GNEX and I have been waiting for this phone since August, and the GS II before it since May. I admit, I am a bit of a Samsung fan, my TV, BluRay player, previous phone, previous TV, and possibly even future Refrigerator; all Sammys. I have had great luck with their hardware, and I like things to integrate easily. I think I will be able to hack the system and run the TV and BluRay with my Nexus, and that's why I am so Gun-Ho, for the SGN. I really liked the ReZound though.

Han, loves his DInc2, but that's subject to change.

It's an unfortunate state in the US in terms of mobile technology. Basically, the telecom companies have too much power and influence. Will always be that way.

I remember way back in the day, like in 2002, 2003-ish, we were all happy with our Nokia candybar phones because we were finally able to have polyphonic ringtones and a contact list that could fit 500 names, and the most expensive phones were starting to have VGA cameras. I saw a news report where over in either Japan or South Korea, they had phones that could already do video calling. And they brought up a point that is still valid today...for whatever reason, the US is always the last place where new technology is introduced, be it with mobile devices or otherwise.

Back then I guess it was easier to overlook, because there wasn't a huge community built up for smartphones (then called PDAs or Pocket PCs with phone functionality), and the internet wasn't as prevalent as it is today.

First post I've read in here that is just plain truth. This needs to be stickied and put on a loudspeaker in loop.

Best and most accurate post on this thread. (Besides mine lol)

Very EXCELLENT post!!!! Let me ask a question, though: If all you say is true and correct (and I am not doubting it because it DOES make sense), is it then fair to say that it was really GOOGLE and SAMSUNG who "screwed the pooch" on this launch by announcing it, unveiling it, and TELLING THE WORLD about it back in October in Hong Kong if it was really, truly, a solid 1.5 to 2 MONTHS from being "ready for prime time"??

If that Hong Kong event doesnt happen, then we have a LOT less anger, angst, and bad mojo towards VZW in this thread, don't you think?

And if you buy VZW's official "reason" for the delay, and yes I said delay since the phone was supposed to launch in November, then I get your reasoning.

However, many sources that people consider credible have come out and said that the delay is on the corporate side, and not due to issues with the phone. Rather, the reason for the delay seems to have something to due with the timing of the RAZR and ReZound launch. From where I sit, that's screwed up. JMHO.

If proven wrong, I'll be the first to apologize for doubting VZW's good intentions.

Edit: I don't think most rumors have had to do with software bugs. VZW has implied that, but BMX, P3, and others have said otherwise.
