I've read wayyyy too much of this thread to never post in it, so...
I was using a BlackBerry Tour up until April or so when I got so frustrated with the trackball sticking that I bought a used Droid on eBay. I knew there were much better phones available, but I decided to get it since it was cheap (and I knew I wouldn't have it for a long time) and it wasn't locked down. Since then I've been waiting for another Android phone that gave me the ability to do what I want with it and was instantly sold on the Galaxy Nexus. I just wish the damn thing would be released already...
Anyways, I have a few questions.
Thanks!
P.S. I'm glad the scottyg on this forum isn't a pain. There was one with a similar username on another forum I visit that made me borderline homicidal.

Anyways, I have a few questions.
- I'm on a family plan with Verizon, but my line is not the primary number. Both lines are eligible for an upgrade, but the primary line also has a $100 credit on it. Do you think Verizon will allow me to use that credit to upgrade my line? My name is listed as an account manager so I don't think that should be an issue. The website would have allowed me to swap upgrades before, but that's no longer an option since both are upgradable.
- If Verizon does allow us to pre-order, is it possible to do that over the phone? I would rather unbox it myself but I know if I order online there's no way I can use that $100 credit.
- I guess nobody can really answer without getting an LTE model, but what are the best cases for this phone? Ideally I would get a hard, very thin case that would be mostly used to protect against scratches. I definitely don't want anything bulky -- one of my co-workers just got an iPhone 4S and has a case that makes it like two inches thick which is pretty ridiculous.
- Are there any screen protectors that allow you to remove/re-apply them easily? I had one on my BlackBerry that I put on a little bit crooked and it always drove me crazy.
Thanks!
