Rootkit, Spyware, (Malware?) put on the phone by carriers/manufacturers that tracks and send your every move to the CIQ company. Verizon denies using it and it hasn't been found on any Verizon android phone.

fantastic book, still in print. Went through 2 of them due to grease/oil/gas stains. Helped a couple of friends rebuild bugs with this book.

Just found this via a quick Google search for ya -- note the folders in the dock.

Looks a bit cluttered for my taste. I plan on using circle launcher and making it invisible to make more of my apps easily accessible. It's too bad there is no scrollable dock like with LauncherPro.

Asus has kindly decided to equip the Prime with a better 600-nit SuperIPS+ panel, which has been optimized for outdoor viewing. The 1280 x 800 Gorilla Glass screen is beyond bright and has very, very wide viewing angles; there’s no color distortion at any angle. You can toggle the SuperIPS+ mode on and off in the status control panel, though the plussed SuperIPS setting is really just designated for "outdoor use." The difference isn’t all that noticeable indoors — it’s a tad brighter when SuperIPS is switched on — however, when I took the tablet outside the difference was more drastic.

I wish they had this feature in phones. Is IPS not doable on a small screen, or something?

I use LP on my OG Droid, but I think a few "folders" down there would do the same job, without having to scroll. I'm all for it.

So the big question for me is, stick with TMo, or move to Verizon? I can get the GNex either way. If it does come out on the 8th, I will have it in hand for my trip to the new house for closing (with time to return and terminate sans ETF), which is where I really need to test signal. I also want to test it for the surrounding areas. So I plan to get the GNex, have it and my TMo phone with me, and run some sort of monitoring on both as I drive from the airport through the various towns and to the house.

Have any of you done this? I would like to use the same app for both phones, so far I've found this one that supports CDMA and GSM. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.parizene.netmonitor Other suggestions are welcome.

Even though I love the movie I have had similar episodes with the movie Rounders.

I also take great issue with any movie were the hero fires 60 rounds through a Beretta without reloading or I here a hammer cocking on a Glock.

Or the constant racking of a slide, or a pump on a shotgun! Why aren't shells flying out of the ejector? It irritates my wife to no end hearing me complain about that.

The LG Optimus Black has an IPS screen. Apparently brightness up to 700 nits.

the screen lists the phone as in stock on the 11th, but no street date. those screens have been wrong plenty of times, so i wouldn't put too much stock in that information
