Semi off topic semi on...
Are you are still thinking the 8th for the Transformer Prime too?
If so, my head is going to explode from over-geeking that weekend.

...although the wife may tell me that the Prime is a family gift FOR CHRISTMAS. I can always use the "but hun, I need to make sure it isn't a lemon, because if it is we won't be able to enjoy it on xmas like you intend." Has worked for YEARS!

Wasn't the T Prime pushed back to the 12th - 15th?. I thought I saw something in the news section or a post on it last night.

Also... doesn't it seem like better to use the landscape dock with the side prongs... vs. the portrait with the USB (which can wear out)?

I couldn't agree more. As a Dev, you're constantly plugging and unplugging. If this doc functions as I'm hoping, it will allow me to stop breaking USB connectors off phones. My old Evo has been resoldered multiple times.

(Yes you can use WiFi ADB, but I prefer plugging it - my tin foil hat still tells me WiFi doesn't work as well)

Not up for me.

Works for me even in a fresh incognito window.

Just drove in from Lurk City, thought I would stop in for some coffee...
My DX had a slip and fall accident back in September, so i've been phone-less and rocking my wife's Ipad 2 for net on the go while holding out for the SGN. Also had an Eris previously, and am excited to try out Samsung for the first time after Moto and HTC. Heck, i'm just excited for something that sends and recieves phone calls. Thanks to all the regs in here who've made this forum lots of fun to read. Hope there are some big ol' smiles for us all on the 8th...

Welcome to the nut house. Thank you for your entertaining first post and sorry your current phone is not alive.

That does look like a very impressive car dock. My biggest fear though is ventilation. My OG Droid would get very hot when navigating, plus my car doesn't have A/C. Summer trips usually resulted in my phone getting so hot that plugged in it lost more battery. So I would run it unplugged with one hand either holding it in front of the fan or hiding it in some shade, then transitioning to plugged in when in it was cool enough.

That car dock looks like a coffin in terms of trapping in heat.

I can see that. I don't think the fact that the OG was almost a brick of metal helped though. Mine didn't ever get quite as bad as yours from what I remember. Guess we will have to wait and see. If you love the dock though, I bet there might be ways to modify the back of it so that it can get a little more airflow - just have to get all crafty ;)

Will that or any of the car mounts work with a case on? Just something to consider when buying one since I became frustrated having to put my case on/off whenever using the gps mount for my OG Droid, that's one of the reasons why I'm looking for a "universal" one for my gnex, and one of the main reasons I bought a spiderpodium mount (until my mom decided she wanted to keep it). :)

Yeah, Superman is a total flake. Too goody goody.

But I always thought the stupidest thing was that these superheroes hardly ever actually kill anyone. They just Mickey-Mouse and dance around the bad guys, tangling them up in spiderwebs or hanging them upside down for the cops to find. What does that lead to? They'll just be out in 24 hours doing the same thing again, idiots!

My brother (huge comic book geek, although he prefers the term "graphic novels" so that he doesn't appear to be lame, but rather a studious person) says that it's a role model situation, to show kids that killing is wrong, even for law enforcement types.

Please. If super heroes are supposed to be used by kids as models, aren't you afraid of these same kids dressing up with their Hanes over their pants, trying to karate kick a mugger and getting shot in the face for their trouble?

Superhero Stuff
This is exactly why two of my favorite characters are The Punisher and Wolverine - both completely willing to kill (moreso with Punisher, Wolvie holds back sometimes).

Poll question...sort of...

So, are you an F5 person or a hit the circular refresh arrow on Chrome person when on this site? Or are you a menu button then refresh person on your cell?

At work, I'm a mouse on refresh button guy. At home, I'm on my cell, so...
Just curious cause I've never done this so much in my life. Love this place. :)

Left mouse click.

My brother sent me this this morning:

IMAG0339.jpg

"Look what button showed up yesterday morning in the system."

Not knowing were your brother works but if he works for VZ then it looks like the button my son told me that showed up yesterday. He is in tech support for VZ and this button is used to flag customers accounts when they call asking for information on the Nexus. Of course the tech states that he has no information except that it is planned for release before years end but then uses this button to flag the account for spam being sent to the customers phone or email account about the upcoming Nexus device.

Edit: I forgot I have to be specific: He works for Verizon. He works in the call center. Did not describe what the button does, but the phone is now 'in the system' whatever that means.

Can I guess that is the prompt that Hanette told Han about?

I'm a little disappointed in the desktop and car docks. They allow ZERO room for cases. I own a Nexus One with a case and it's always been a pain in the rear to take it off every time i want to charge or dock it. Why can't they have it be made to accommodate cases in some way? Even having invisible shield on it looks like a really tight fit (read: too tight).

A dock or mount to fit all the different kinds of cases? Think about it. At lease Samsung made its docks so the extended battery for the SGII would not hamper it.

I think when a phone maker designs a phone for its looks he/she does not have cases on its mind.

I find the different kinds of cases to be amusing. I reserve a front pocket for mine. LG made a rough use phone didn't they.

On the phone I back out so the app remembers where I was. On the iPad I hit the refresh button on the address bar. On the mac its command + R. On the pc its F5.
