We have suggested things to try based upon our experience with the phone...if these things do not work contact verizon wireless and they should be able to help you...dial 611 from your cell if you CAN do that...if not dial (800) 922-0204 from a normal phone and again they should be able to help you or tell you sorry you werent supposed to receieve that update, please bring your phone in for servicing and/or a replacement.

i dont care ito prove it to you i already did that. ineed someone to help me fix the problem i have

Sorry you're not getting the warmest reception at times here, bear in mind that this forum has been salivating for a solid three months now over the very thing that's causing your problems.

For that reason, I don't think we're gonna be much help--none of us have any experience with 2.1 on the Eris. If Caddy's suggestions didn't help, I certainly have no idea what you might try. Your best bet is definitely either HTC or Verizon, and PLEASE, let us know what they tell you. It'll be helpful in case any of us suffer the same problem, and it would be great if they gave you a reason why you have to deal with this problem... or any info about the update in general.

Good luck!

Got this from the verizon forums:

You-got-to-read-this

The HTC rep said this was a known issue. Guess what she said NEXT!!!! Woah I about dropped to the floor. She said, "This is a known issue that is resolved in 2.1 which was released today. Your Droid Eris over the next two weeks will update to version 2.1."

The OP goes on to explain in more detail what the rep said:
She said that our Droid Eris look for updates once every 2 weeks and there is no way us end users to tell when our phone is schedule to look. There is no way we can force the look either. So make sure you keep your 3G turned on so you get the update on your phones scheduled look date.

Could this be the real update?

They never give credit. Ass clowns!

Well if this really is legit, I'm inclined to say it is, then our little corner of the web is about to get very hectic boys and girls.
