I had no problems whatsoever with my phone before but since last week it seems my Nexus is dying slowly,
first I had these multiple random reboots, by "random" I mean I haven't even touched the phone and it reboots, after a minute, reboots again, this stops after 3 or 4 times.
since three days ago half of the right side of my screen doesn't respond to touch anymore, between the rightmost quarter and the center(above the browser icon on home screen) which includes parts of my keyboard.
I have already uninstalled all the application installed recently. and checked all background apps.
since today Ive noticed a lag between touching the screen and the response from the phone, I think my Nexus is falling apart :(
if you have any suggestions or had a similar experience, Id be glad to hear it.:)
my phone is unrooted and running 2.3.6

You may want to consider doing a factory reset. Considering you've already uninstalled all of your apps, you wouldn't be losing much.

The best way to do a factory reset is through the recovery console.

1. Turn off the phone.
2. Hold Volume Up and the Power button to boot the phone into recovery mode.
3. Use the volume rocker to select "Recovery" and press the power button to select it.
4. A triangle exclamation will be on the screen. Hold the power button and press Volume Up to show the recovery menu options.
5. Select Data Wipe/Factory Reset.
6. Reboot the phone (select Reboot).

thanks, well Ive only uninstalled recently installed apps which were a total of 7 apps. I have more than 400 apps already installed on the phone and some have important data stored in them. but if nothing else works that would be my last resort.
additional info: other small parts of the screen have stopped responding to touch which has made the Nexus quite useless, also my screen gets pretty hot as of today.

For now, try a factory reset and if there are still issues, take it back. The screens heat sounds like it's a hardware issue instead of a software issue but I'd still try a reset first.

as mentioned in my last post, some of my apps have important data stored in them so a factory reset is not the best option for me.

additional info: part of the screen which the phone doesn't respond to touch, changes frequently from left to right since yesterday, the Nexus worked with no problems for about 6 hours today before part of the screen stopped responding to touch again.

Well you could try moving the apps to the SD portion so that the data is kept (factory reset never touches the SD portion) and then do a factory reset. For now, I'd say it's your best option.

I am having Major Issues (I Don't Mean to Hijack Post) but I could not get passed the Nexus X Loading Screen after my Phone Went into a Weird Slow Motion while Updating ADW I reset it and it wouldn't Get past the X Loading Screen so I did the Steps Above and this is what I get

--Wiping Data
Formatting /data...
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/s3c-sdhci.0/by-name/userdata
Formatting /cache...
Data Wipe Complete

And nothing Fixes at all

Please Help I am a total Noob!

-about the screen heat issue : it's because of the software ! the phone freezes and the cpu remains stuck at high voltage ,you have to install another ROM [it happened to me with some CM nightly's] >> if you leave it like that for long you can fry your cpu !!!

-about the boot problem : try another factory reset ,format your mass memory [if stock recovery allows it] if that does not help ,root it ! Stock Android has the most bugs :|
