Well I just got word from an excellent source that indeed the 15th is the day. Hot damn could this be the end of an epic journey? I had forgot all about someone I know well having a connection. I should have remembered this all along.

I don't think they would do something like that after all the issues earlier in the thread when people wanted to write up an angry letter. I know we aren't writing anything mean now, we are just upset, but I dunno if they would wanna get involved in something that says "verizon fail."
But maybe someplace else will take notice and help. I'm doing my part and have tweeted it 2 or 3 times already

As far as the delay, it's a total cluster $%#^. It was most definitely slated for the 9th, and I was expecting to congratulate you guys in a post today. I've gotten a few calls over the past few days about the delay, but I had to put it on hold because of [personal information withheld].

The situation, as I've been told, is that it's all corporate decisions. NOTHING is wrong with the phone or with supply. I don't know the details, sorry. I've heard that they are shooting for the 15th, but it's not definite.

This is good news to me because I was starting to think the delay was originating from some kind of major issue with the phone, BUT WHY DID I THINK THAT? I HELD THE PHONE MYSELF? (I'm going insane).

OK here's the skinny...

I went to buy the phone thinking there's no way I'm walking out of this store with it. The activation went through just fine but they couldn't ring up the sku.

So they hand wrote a purchase agreement and copied my credit card (they were assuming they could run it later today when the sku was active) they never got word from their boss stating anything different from the 9th as being the launch date.

When I got home and pulled the phone out of the box I seen they called & texted, they were frantically trying to reach me of course I knew it was it was all about.
I consider these people friends and wouldn't want to see them fired. I am unemployed right now and I realize how tough it is out there.

but here is the good news...When I called Verizon to make certain that my upgrade eligabity was reset, I explained to the rep what happened. The Verizon rep was very forthcoming and told me that Verizon has not deleted the Nexus from their info guide but only hidden it, she says the release date is there and it's the 15th. I asked how she knew this and she said she really wants the Nexus so she went digging and found it, of course we all know that could change, but I don't doubt the rep for 1 second (and I usually doubt everything) that the 15th is the target date.

I, along with a lot of other people, got a sms from local corp stating the 15th. To me, it's the most solid info we've had seeing as how the 9th info was there then taken away. Not set in stone per se, but looks awfully good. For those who don't believe....move right along

i've been retweeting almost everyone, and @mentioning blog sites to try to get them on board. one tweet from @phandroid or @droid_life would help ALOT

We said the same thing for the Nexus One (although admittedly it wasn't an exclusive). Verizon caved and instead asked people to purchase a bloated, updates-from-Verizon Droid variety.

Berizon never announced the nexus one. Plus it wasnt shipped to atores...

Isn't anyone starting to get concerned about Verizon's obvious control over this supposed "Google" device. Most people want the GNEX because of it's vanilla android experience and the fact that updates will come straight from Google and not be held-up/screwed up by Verizon. Well I'm starting to worry that Verizon is never going to let that happen. The phone has been out for 3 weeks on other carriers globally yet Verizon refuses to release it. I think they are taking all control away from Google.

Yes I returned it... 3rd party, there's no way a Corporate store will sell it today.

That was my first time holding one, I must admit the overall feel is so much better than the GS2, it feels way more solid and more ergonomic and comfortable with no bloat it's so smooth and so fast. I will gladly wait 6 more days.
