Then I get blasted with 1000's of emails? Hahaha. Or I guess there is a way too set email options, right? But how is subscribing faster than using the recent tab as default? (For now, this is the only thread I post in or read).

You can still subscribe without notifications. And hit the "unread" tab and it takes you to the page where you left off last.

Despite all of this verizon being rude and stuff, which, believe me, I am also very very frustrated with all of this push back, (wow, COULD I USE any more commas?) look at the bright side. WE ARE GETTING THIS FRICKIN AMAZING PHONE..and very soon.

By the time you guys get it..it won't be fricking amazing anymore..can we say quad core....right around the corner

I saw it too. If I had any self respect I'd jump to AT&T for the Titan or skyrocket.

Stupid Han.

Eh, it's not a self-respect thing. It's what works best for you. I'm fortunate, all the carriers in my area work pretty well. So I can pretty much jump for a device if it tickles my fancy. With all the BS Verizon has pulled with this phone though it sure as hell does make even ATT look enticing. That Titan though. That phone would be worth giving Windows a shot with.

Sub question: Why the HELL can't we get an Android phone built as well as the Titan?

Hey I'm a long time lurker here and wanted to share my story so far and get advice....

A third party verizon reseller told me he will be getting a shipment of nexus's this monday. He told me this over the phone and when I went to see him today he showed me the computer screen where the ETA said the 12th. He told me there weren't many in the shipment and that I could reserve one if I wanted. He also told me the delay was caused by the wallet, which he was told by his Verizon rep a few days ago. He knows the launch date has been pushed back (he said he rep said the 15th), but he said he would sell me one when he gets it.

Question...whats the best way I can buy it without having Verizon Corp tell him not to sell it? Can I just buy it, not activate it, leave the store and then activate it myself? Anyone know?

Yup... I just bought $300 pair of boots - Salamon Malamutes. Gnarly stiff boots.

VZW take your time :eek::D:D:D

I was thinking the same thing when the Transformer Prime was supposed to come out soon.

Now I'm just drowning my sorrows in Battlefield 3 and dubstep (sigh, I really have sunk so low :p).

This is something else I've been thinking about. We're getting to the point where it might make more sense to sit out the Nexus and wait for the first ICS quad core phones this spring.

I think if ure gunna pass on the nexus waiting for 2nd gen lte radios is the thing to wait for. Outside of battery life im not gaming on my phone or using it that way to jstify the wait.

That said having a nexus IMO is something ive always wanted. Despite the two vzw apps im only looking out for a google experience. Og droid had it. Sense or blur or whiz doesn't.

I'm inclined to agree with you, because I've always been from the school of thought that believes you want your device to be the best of it's kind for as long as possible (with the rapidly advancing current technology), and with this thing being pushed back so far, it's reign as the top dog will certainly be short. However, this is a Nexus we're talking about. Hardware is obviously important, but I've always been a software guy. I'm the guy running alpha and beta builds of new versions on my Incredible because I have to have the latest software. A nexus allows that. So, yeah, we may see some sweet quad-core devices shown off at CES in January (?), but history has shown that those devices take months to be released. I'd say we're looking at no earlier than Q2 for something like that and by then my Nexus will be running at least 4.1 if not higher, when those devices will be running 4.01(2) at best, with custom skins on top. For me, I would still get the Nexus even if it wasn't until after CES. Nexus or bust.

Thanks for the reminder! I have been meaning to call on this as I have yet to receive anything in the mail either.
I just got off the phone as I tried this my self. It seems there is no code or discount to specifically apply to your account. However the CSR did confirm that this was indeed a Midwest promo, and since I live in Ohio I did indeed qualify.
She said that she noted the account that I called to inquire about the promo, and that she confirmed my eligibility for it. According to her, I should be able to walk in to a corp store or authorized agent store and qualify for an additional $100 on top of my NE2! If I got any trouble doing so , all the rep needed to do was look at my account to see her notes.
I'll tell you what will keep me up tonight.... The thought of buying my Gnex this week for $149!!!! sounds like a winer to me! :D

So, what did you ask for? My husband just called VZ customer service and asked, and they said they didn't have record of that discount and could not apply it to our account.

Question for you folks... If the Galaxy Note and it's 5.3 inch screen and Exynos processor was coming out the same time as the Nexus and both had ICS, which would you buy?

I'd be all over the Note, but I think 5.3 inches is going to be just too big for a lot of people.

If they were both Vanilla ICS and the Note only had software buttons, then probably the Note. I like the idea of more screen real estate. Lower dpi though, obviously...
