I didn't. I bought it from a reseller. I called them today and confirmed that it's only 14 days there. thanks anyway, though!

Finally caught up. You guys and girls aren't the talkative bunch you have been.

So I bricked my phone this weekend, 3 different times and had to Odin back to stock then root again. Finally have ICS installed on my Fascinate.

It is nice and very smooth. It is going to take time getting used to not using a back button though.

Gotcha so I'll be able to recieve the OTA but it will likely cause an unroot, correct? And if thats the case I just wait for the devs for a few days to come out with the new update? Can you root without having a custom ROM? I like keeping everything look stock and a lot of the ROMs change so much crap around.

It may/may not cause unroot. Im not sure how Nexuses (sp?) updates directly from Google work with root. After all, it is a developer phone. Yes, you can certainly root without a custom ROM. I agree with the stock look also.

Picture shows 12/7 release date... honestly Verizon has to get their act together with this stuff. First Galaxy Nexus, then Droid 4, now this. IMO they've got too much on their hands and they need to slow down with the overlapping product launches so they can stick to a strict schedule.

I've made the wait for the Nexus a bit easier by installing WidgetLocker with an ICS lockscreen, ADW.Launcher EX with an ICS theme + icon pack, and the phase beam live wallpaper on my OG Droid. It's a bit laggy and I've noticed a drop in battery life but anything to help the wait is fine by me

My Inc has miui.us with the really amazing black ics theme w widget locker screen that says 'mini nexi' on It... my HP Touch pad has ADW with a ICS theme and the widget locker screen is like honeycomb and the wording under the clock says Nexus Tablet Nexi lol

Yes. On Wednesday of last week I called telesales to do my daily "Can I buy a GN", and follow-up "Can I buy GN accessories". They said yes on the accessories, so I ordered them.

I must have not noticed that on all of the demo videos... That WILL be weird... I was just going to order it without having played with it, but maybe I should stop by the Verizon store first...

Bad news -- just called telesales, they're not allowed to sell Nexus accessories! The rep I spoke to said that anyone who's gotten them has basically just gotten lucky. The SKUs are in the system, but are not allowed to be sold until the release of the phone, the date of which he was unable to tell me. Lame.

EDIT: Didn't see alee's post, looks like I'm not the only one who tried.

an email to stores confirming "sell it" is probably all it'll get. not sure they even want to acknowledge the thing at this point, since it's been such a train-wreck.

OT - TV Tuner

I'm assuming you have cable service, you should call them and ask. When I was living in an apartment a few years back I had a tuner that I bought.

I also had free cable but my tuner wouldn't work unless I gave them some information off of it. Just a guess though

I'm confused. I've had USB tuners and PCI/PCI Express tuner cards for computers, but I've never heard of a tuner that would essentially turn a monitor into a TV without the processing power of a computer - who makes them? Very intriguing.

FWIW ~~ I've called several VZW's this morning, and they have all said it will be the 15th, and this is based on email info directly from VZW.

I asked a few of them what exactly the email said, and they were kind enough to actually read off the email. Of the 3 guys who I convinced to read their communication email, all 3 read the exact same thing to me.

So, it would seem (like the 9th), the 15th is pretty much a lock.... if it isn't delayed sometime this week, that is.

Part of what's bothering about a launch at this point is it wouldn't seem to make much sense anymore to launch a new flagship device at this point in the shopping season.

It wouldn't make sense to launch this phone after Christmas either because it's already going to outdated the day we pick it up.
