Okay, so I'm mid-contract. I'm determined to sell my iPhone 4S and get the Galaxy Nexus.

Does anyone have experience with buying from Negri?

Should I pre-order from them or take the risk that I can get the phone on the 15th here in DC?

Any thoughts on benefits of preordering from Negri versus hoping for Dec. 15 on Verizon? If they plan to ship on the 16th I'd assume that they would only do so when it's legally available to ship, right? I don't know...just want to know what's a better plan of action for someone paying full price.

A tid-bit,

• I called Verizon and confirmed (in my area = N. GA) the taxed amount is on the sale price, not the full retail.
• My local Corp Store has no interest in taking my number or holding one.
• I have called every possible resource about a 3G to 4G $100.00 discount and my BS call still stands. I hate it though.
  [*] I'll be on the side walk outside the V store @ 8:30 AM Thursday with a StarBucks Quad-Shot Grande Latte in hand unless Jody or a subpoena arrives and has me occupied.

After reading all the stories here I thought I would finally give my local Radio Shack a call. Lady was surprisingly open about the situation. Like most other stories here they have them in stock in the back and haven't received anything from Verizon except for that email last week asking them to hold off.

I asked if they received any new emails or correspondence in the last couple days from Verizon and she seemed to genuinely look around and asked a co-worker and they couldn't find anything. Bottom line: They really appear to be just as in the dark as all of us.

I can't imagine all the calls and wasted time reps are having to use fielding our quest for knowledge and how much money that translates for them in wasted productivity. Oh well. We will probably never know all the details surrounding this release. I just really hope that Verizon will get another Nexus after we are done with this round.

Perhaps Verizon really cracked down on their employees after the failed 12/9 pseudo-launch... before, the confidentiality agreement wasn't enforced as strictly as it is now, possibly.
