Help How do you change the size of widgets/apps?

I remember that changing the widget size was supposed to be a big deal. But now with the GN's beautiful screen, it has been overlooked.

How do you change the widget/app size?

After you've added a widget to your homescreen, long press it. You'll see a thin light blue outline appear around the widget with four blue anchor points (up/down/left/right). Grab and drag the anchor points to resize.

Note that not all widgets are resizable.

I still can't seem to make it work.

Did you try a widget that's definitely resizable such as the bookmarks widget?

+1. If the widget has a size line underneath it in the drawer, ie- 4x1 2x2 1x1
It is not an onscreen resizable widget.

Beautiful widgets would be an example (but they provide different sizes for you)

I'll try saying it in different words. Install the widget on a desktop screen. After that, press and hold it. If it is resize-able, a blue outline shows up, with blue diamonds on the sides. Put your finger on the blue diamond and drag it into the shape you want.

If the blue diamonds don't show up, then the widget is fixed in size and can't be change.
