Help (Solved) Weird Battery Information Problem

Recently Ive noticed that whenever I restart my phone, the battery information that shows you how long the battery has been going since it was last charged resets. As in if my phone says that it has been 19 hours and 12 minutes since it was unplugged from the wall, after a reboot it resets itself and I find it saying like 40 seconds since last charge. Anybody know how to fix that? Its kind of annoying.

I can duplicate this situation but only by doing some battery status cache clearing.

But on a regular shutdown restart the stats hold true.

Fix this by finding the app, widget, or MOD you've made/installed that automatically deletes your battery cache stats.

Ok so how would I be able to find this app or widget clearing my battery cache? Like will it say its doing it? Also I don't use mods so that narrows it down to apps and widgets.

IDK, but the hint is anything related to battery, or extending battery, or Task Managers. Just recall the apps you've installed to rule out this as a potential problem.

Another idea is that your battery itself is losing contact w/ the pins within the phone, thus a hardware issue, thus a warranty issue.

Well I wouldn't know what app could be causing the problem and I have no idea how I would find it. So u think I should have geek squad at best buy take a look at it?

A factory reset would erase all the apps you installed and put the phone back to square one..

The phone stays your phone number, yet you have to add your Google account info. again.

It is a solid step toward ridding yourself of software based annoyance.

You may however find it easier to go to Task Manager>Packages

Those are the apps you installed, or someone installed for you.

Knowing this you may find the offending app. and then click "Uninstall"

If you want to list the items in a post, i'll make a suggestion.

Well I did a factory reset and the battery cache is still being cleared. So does this mean its a hardware issue??

I also use app2sd, could that be a problem?

Rule out one at a time. *Hardware

Off charge and off USB:
Complete a Factor reset, preform the basic setup of your Google Account and let phone sit idle for 5 minutes. Power off phone and power back on phone. Check your log.

If phone retains battery information that are in the ballpark of 5 mins, you have ruled out it being a Hardware issue.

If your phone does not retain battery information, take it to place of purchase and explain the situations. A helpful employee will either replace phone, replace battery, or tell you to call Strait Talk to arrange replacement.

Good move, also be sure to preform the shutdown test there.. spend some time there to try and recreate the situation, You may end up leaving w/ a new battery w/ the phone being the problem if you dont attempt to duplicate the situation.

Be as kind as you can and perhaps a phone swap out will be the result of your trip. Please remember to take all your accessories and receipt, it makes it as painless as possible. My Walmart's phone center opens at 9:00 AM. Be first, if you can!

I got a new phone all together and before I did anything I restarted the phone and it reset the battery's unplugged duration status. Now What? I feel that I'm kinda stuck here in a problem I can't fix. :-(
