Root Help! Esteem stuck at Lg logo screen after CWM

it doesn't boot up. Even when i power it off, after i let go of the power power it turns right back on by itself and gets stuck on the logo screen. I even tried popping out the battery and putting it back and turning it on. I'm hoping it didn't just ****ed myself =(

Pull the battery then turn it back on. You're probably just turning the screen off.

I can't download anything if i can't even boot up my phone period so i'm kina in a jam.

No my computer won't recognize it. And red what do you mean? I did pull the batter and put it back in then turned it on. I still get the same problem.

this happened to me. When you get stuck at the lg logo screen press your power button until it hard restart. If you are still stuck in the boot, trying taking out the battery and put it back in , then try again ...

Just for safety and clarification, all i have to do it download the file. unzip it, connect my phone, put it on internet connection and then click windows install and let it do its thing and thats it right? What about all the other files in that folder? What are those for? i remember seeing something that said ADB or something like that. I just wanna make sure i really do this right and not brick another phone.

make sure debugging is enabled too. the other files are there to ease the process. adb is included (windows and linux) so the android-sdk etc doesnt have to be installed. The drivers are included in case some one doesnt have em n needs em. Theres .dll files that adb will use, and a install script for windows and one for linux.

And generally, yes all you need to do is dl, unzip, connect phone and run the install script. But since (1) person had an issue, I will suggest after the install completes, open cmd, navigate to the install folder n run:

Code:
adb reboot recovery

if CWM boots up then you're golden. ;)

No matter what. Always keep exitrecovery.zip and a verified working rom or two on your external sd card! It has saved me so much! It avoids problems like this. The .zip and a rom should be higher priority than everything else, and always have a backup!

If you can find a micro-sd to sd adapter, get it, then you can transfer filesw from your computer to your sd without using the phone. provided you have the port on your computer.

hey i'm having the same issue and nothing seems to work. do i need to install the software again or what? if so, where can i download it without the thread being expired. thanks

If you can get to recovery, than you are golden and it is an easy fix. If you cant get past the LG boot logo, i would just take it to Metro and tell them it must have rebooted itself and thats how it was when you woke up.

For Further Notice: If you are 100% absotively posalutley sure you have CWR on your device and you cant get past the boot logo. Doing a stock recovery data delete will get you to recovery. But make sure 100% you have CWR or you will be back at the same place and lose all your data. Have had this happen to me before. Also like mentioned before, keep the exitrecovery.zip on your SD and Internal just in case it boot loops on ya.

I installed CWM and tried rebooting to get into the recovery. I get passed the *Press power buttons 3 times* and then it goes to the LG logo and stays there. What do i do?

Try this one

Turn off your phone.. Hold down volume up and down rocker in the center and hit power.. Hold volume key till it boots to recovery menu.. You will have to hit power twice to enter by prompts..
