AFAIK there is no root exploit for Android 2.3.4.
The developers of Galaxy fit running 2.3.4 made a flashable zip to root it which worked.
I think u shud try it but i don't hold any responsibility if u brick it
here is the link
Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
Its upd_1, rename it to update and flash.
I say it twice try it at your own risk.

I think i have a gr8 idea to root your device

NOTE : I do not have the device in person just trying to help ! as 2.3.4 is unrootable yet -generic i mean !
What it does is it boots in recovery ( one from micromax)
then installer superuser directly to system!

just find the instructions here :

Topic: How to root 2.3.4 Gingerbread on S5670?? - www.SamFirmware.com

Oops just now had a look at Varun post it is exactly the same just that he gave the file directly but i gave the link for whole post ! sorry for that !!!

I am getting error: Signature verification failed!

When I tried to install mx video player codec. it was showing as ARM6

Is their any other way to connect OpenVPN without rooting the device.

@samrox
i saw the update binaries and notices you have hashed out two lines one of which involves mounting system
i think that hash must be removed
and line for formatting system must be removed
as even in the log ( refer to first post ) you will notice error as system mounted as readonly
plz update and check i am still learning to write scripts and binaries my self hence can just read scripts ! not write one STILL ... ;)

hope that helps

@ninadchaudhari
the problem is with signature not scripts because the sign verification fails the script is not executed by recovery.
now we must sign the zip using a different tool or keys .that will solve the problems

@all
why dont you guys try rzrecovey it supports all types of devices it may support your also

this is the method we used to root lg p500 with android 2.3.3. try this method .
you need a pc for this

download this-

1. Connect your phone with usb cables, make sure you have installed all the drivers needed, and connect phone in DEBUGGING Mode (provided a bit upper on this post)

2. In the extracted folder called root on your desktop, go to ADB folder and start cmd7.exe if u run win7 or cmdXP.exe (run as administrator in both options) if ur pc runs win XP. (your address bar should like something like this: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME HERE\Desktop\root\ADB

3. After starting cmd7 or cmdXP, type following commands
Code:
Code:
adb devices

then

Code:
Code:
adb shell

(symbol will change to $ or #) and copy paste following command into your terminal

Code:
Code:
echo 1 > /data/local/yusu_adb.conf

4. After doing this, REBOOT YOUR PHONE

5. After reboot, go to root folder on desktop again, and start SuperOneClick.exe

6. Select GingerBreak method and press root button
if gigerbreak fails use zergrush exploit

if still it fails then
do this for third step and try again

Code:
echo 1 > /data/local/gionee73_gb_adb.conf

or

this if above also fails

Code:
echo 1 > /data/local/gionee73_adb.conf
