Help Apps Disappeared

Yesterday I installed an app, Moon+ Reader. I got the message that it installed correctly but when I tried to open it my casio commando hung and restarted itself.
Since then, it appears that all apps moved to the sdcard are no longer functional and/or its shortcuts don't appear in the app drawer. On the desktop, those apps that have shortcuts have lost it's original picture and now default to the white & green android pic. Attempts to open them gets the message, "Could not launch the requested activity".
I've looked through other posts and the suggestion is to use Titanium Backup to restore everything but I can't do that because TB is stored on the sdcard and I don't have access to it any more.
The phone is rooted and is running gingerbread 2.3.3. Yes, I have powered it off and restarted the commando numerous times but no change!

It appears that shortcut references from the internal memory to the sdcard are screwed up but I don't know where to go from here and would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like something has crashed on your sd card. I would make a list of what you had on there and wipe the sd card and start over. it may sound painful but i think that is the only way that you can do it..
