Root Sim Unlock Utility

I'm having problems with the sim unlock utility from Sieempi, I run the disc and connect phone as requested, The program says Done!

However when I put a 'Three' sim into the phone it will not work?
When I put a vodafone sim into the phone it works?

The phone was originally locked to O2

Any ideas?

If the phone was locked to O2 and now you can use it on Vodafone it sounds like it has been unlocked successfully. Have you tried the 3 sim in another phone to check it's OK?

I'm sure I've heard somewhere that 3 sim cards only work in 3 locked phones, i could be wrong though.

Yes I've tried it in a Nokia and in My other Desire which are both sim free, The sim is OK.

as a workaround I've just swapped the desires over but I would really like to get it to work.

i dont understand how that is happening.
unlock is unlock, its not specific to carrier once its done.
try using the newer utility that is exe based rather than CD based

Me neither? Can you tell me where I would find the.exe utility please.

I've been told that, but I think it's a confusion between needing a 3g handset and needing a 3 handset. They offer SIM only deals explicitly for people who do not want to buy a handset from them, so that would not make sense otherwise
