Help Lg Optimus S

My last phone,The galaxy S 4g broke.
So i got a new phone.The Sprint lg optimus S.

My phone number is not the same as the last one.
I inserted the sim card and etc.

Help ASAPPP


Another problem is.
My phone area code is 313.
and on the phone.There area code is 813.
I called it but it didnt ring?...wierd??

Your post doesn't make sense to me. Sprint's phones are all CDMA and therefore don't have SIM cards like GSM phones. There is no way that you could have swapped SIM cards. You may have swapped the Flash Rom card but that would only allow you to transfer over some of your data (like music files & photos), not your phone number or cellular service authentication.

Consequently, if you want to keep the same phone number you have to call Sprint and tell them to move your old phone number to your new phone.
