Root Well I did It...

So I got my Rezound on 1/5/12. I told myself that I would not root this phone, and just leave it alone (ive rooted all my other phones). Well, I couldnt live without wireless tether, especially at 4g speeds... so I unlocked and rooted on 1/9/12 (last night). Once rooted and I got my wireless tether working, I said to myself, THATS IT, NO MORE. I didnt want to get back involved with ROMS or ADS... that is, until this morning when flashed my first ROM. So it took me exactly four days to change my mind. That is all.

Nothing wrong with rooting, I just get so addicted... time consuming etc..

What made you flash that one vs the others?

I thought I wasn't gonna root until the 14 day refund window has passed thinking I wouldn't be able to return a rooted phone, but what's more important is that if I brick my phone during the rooting process, I can return the phone for another one.

So I will be rooting tonight. Can't wait to undervolt and underclock. Funny, this is the first phone that I want to underclock. It's already blazing fast from the factory, so I figure I'll underclock gain more battery life.

This is probably one of the few phones that I would feel like I didn't need to root because it's so fast and most everything works so well. I wasn't eager at all to root this phone, but I will.

I went ahead and unlocked my phone and rooted it last week, but I decided to just use the stock ROM and just debloat it

I like the basic setup on the rezound, but I wanted a few tweaks, debloat and wireless tether. Unlike many, I actually like sense and dont feel the need to change it too much.

Yea, I understand. I used CleanROM so it's all debloated. I don't know what the difference is between CleanROM and the one you flashed.

I highly recommend trying nils gingersense. I ran it on my incredible and its even better on the rezound.
