i did the htcdev.com unlock and the one click root...now when i try and boot into recovery i get a picture of a phone with 2 arrows around it and one pointing down, and then a few seconds later i get a picture of a phone with a red triangle and explication mark.

every thing went fine, and every thing seems to be working fine...

how did you try booting into recovery? What recovery are you using? Amon Ra or CWM?

That's normal for the stock recovery.

You need to install a custom recovery.

Ok so I'm trying to flash Amon_ra and for some reason it's kicking my backside. First I tried flashing in hboot and I get:

SD Checking......................
Loading..........[PH98IMG.zip]
No Image!

Realized it was in the internal memory I moved it to ext_sd and then I get this:

Parsing...........[PH98IMG.zip]

it then returns to the hboot screen. Selected recovery and get the triangle with the !.

I've not had this problem with my other devices so..............

One of the easiest ways to get back to recovery(If you're already rooted/unlocked and need to install a recovery. Plug into your PC, find your android SDK that you just used to unlock your PC. type adb reboot bootloader. And you're ready to fastboot flash recovery <recoveryfile> .

I got it MrSmith, Thanks.

I used cleanflash and worked like a charm.;)

Bobcat ...i know this is a stupid question but is your SD card formatted properly? Wasn't it on the Dinc that if it wasnt' properly formatted it wouldn't read certain Pxxxxxx.zip files? I mean you would think that it should be formatted to the right setting already.

ehhh anyways glad you got it going.

BC it was kickin my ass too... i finally figured it out and got it to work :D you just need to make sure the android info text file is the same version than the current mainversion of your firmware. technically it could be higher, but you dont want to do that,as it will change it on your phone to that higher number, hindering the process for future flashes

for example,if youre on 2.01.605.11,your android info cant be 1.02.605.6. ive found the hard way that the wrong android info does not return an error, just disregaurds the update

i finally got recovery, system and boot images to flash in hboot. yay! :p

it is possible to edit the mainversion number,so you can flash older recovery, boot and system images. doing so,however, will not let you downgrade whole ruus to get an older hboot and radio. youre still stuck with those ;)

should be able to "fastboot flash zip" PH98IMG files too,but i havent gotten to play with that after getting a handle on the main version thing.
