Nfc is what allowed you to ' pay with your phone when you see a nfc scanner. You open the App and put your phone in front of the scanner and bam. Groceries paid for
Pro-- You don't need to protect your phone from people carrying scanners, the NFC chip only activates when you press a button on your phone to use it.
Con-- I personally won't use it till there is more security built in to prevent someone from finding/stealing my phone and using the NFC to make purchases. Something stronger than a PIN would be necessary IMHO.
Con-- I probably wouldn't suggest using NFC on a rooted phone at this time. A malicious app/webpage script could conceivably gain access to the NFC system on a rooted phone.
Fix those two cons, and I would definitely use NFC to pay for my burger and fries.
