I've been looking at this for quite some time. It will give you the option of also being able to use any other headphones you wish.

Amazon.com: Sony Ericsson Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset with FM Radio: Cell Phones & Accessories

Those were the other ones I considered before I got the ones I posted above. It is nice that you can use others, but I though it would be inconvenient to have to clip them to something. Easier for guys who more often wear shirts with pockets I guess. ;) I love with the Jaybird ones I forget I'm even wearing them!

I bought the Bose in ear headset and there can be none no better. Sound is perfect, you custom fit them to your ear as they come with 3 different size ear inserts, they never fall out, All in all they are perfect. Only thing better would be the over the ear Quite Comfort 15. The in cost 99.00. I got mine with Holiday Inn points.I think they were 21000 points.I threw all my pther headsets away except for the ones that came with my new Nexus and they are just in case the Bose blow up. Might ned them till my new set arrived.

Ugh...I hate to get into this, but this is far from correct. Bose are known to be overpriced for what they are. 2x to 3x overpriced. They have tinny contrived treble, bloated midbass and an awful bass. Also, they are not custom fit. These are custom fit. The different size tips being referred to here come with any good IEM (in ear monitor).

Listen to the person recommending etymotic research. He knows what he is talking about. Read up on Etymotic research...the pedigree of that company is amazing regarding audio. I have the ER4p (their top of the line) and it is phenomenal. At one point it was the best IEM produced, and it still holds its own as one of the best more than a decade later.

If you like Bose, that is fine. Everyone should do what makes them happy. But do yourself a favor and be an informed consumer when you do buy whatever it is you buy.

Just to verify: the RF-MAB2 is working on your Galaxy Nexus?

The RF-MAB2 works fabulously on my Nexus, Doctor. While I had issues with my Cubed (^3) MUSIC PLAYER, Google Music works very well with my collection and all controls on the RF-MAB2 work well in controlling the music, adjusting the volume, and making/ending calls. They also last upwards of 10-12 hours of continuous use on a 2-hour charge.

If you're going to use them, may I suggest the MeX setting, which adds depth and dynamic range to the sound. Highly Recommended :)

do you know if both of these work with the stock google music app, to skip tracks, etc.

I haven't tested each of them individually, but another brand of V-MODA's worked with no issue. (They actually are the manufacturer for some of Samsung's other buds that come with the phones.) I've also used a pair of beats buds and had no issues. I should be getting the Etymotics later this week and will report back. I'm not anticipating that there will be any issues. Seems like the stock music app plays pretty well with off brand buds that come with included remotes.

Back with the update as promised.

Got my Etymotics in the mail today! They sound GREAT. I've been wanting to get a decent pair for a long time now. They aren't noise cancelling but block so much ambient sound they may as well be. My audiophile friend told me "make sure to look both ways when crossing the street, those things make the world disappear." He wasnt lying. It's pretty remarkable.

The inline remote only works for starting and stopping music. The skip buttons (so far) havent worked. However they DO stop and start the music quicker than the stock buds did for me, so thats something I guess.

A great buy for me either way, and so far I'm very happy with them.

The other week I bought the Etyomic E5 on clearance at Best Buy for $80 YMMV. I've never heard how they compare to the Ety's above, but I believe they are supposed to be a cut above. If you aren't lucky enough to bag them at Best Buy they are going for a great price on amazon now Amazon.com: Etymotic Research HF5 Portable In-Ear Earphones (Cobalt): Electronics.

Same as what the poster said above you can use the button to pause music and answer calls; however, I have not gotten it to skip tracks. And yes these things can be hazardous if you need to be aware of your surroundings. Clarity is fantastic; however, they can be weak on the low end. The bass head will find them lacking in impact.

Back with my update - ordered the V-MODA's as listed above. The sound is a great improvement over the stock buds I was using (duh). Great clarity and bass, hear things in my music that I have not heard before. Really impressed by the sound for under $50.

As for the controls, out of the box the center button plays/pauses and skips forward tracks with a double click. unfortunately, the volume +/- control buttons dont do anything.

However, I downloaded an app called "Headset Button ControllerTrial" and I was able to easily assign functions to the center button to skip forward/back and increase/decrease volume, answer calls, etc. Using the debug mode in this app I can see that the vol +/- buttons are not even recognized by android and manually assignable :-( but, I still have all the same functions using just the center button so I guess I cant complain much. I'm not sure what the full version gives you over the free version, but for now just sticking with the free version.

I actually have not had a chance to use the mic yet so I cant comment on how the performance is on phone calls, but I'm assuming it should be fine.

Say whaaaaat? Downloading that app to test it with my buds right now. Sounds pretty cool. I didnt even THINK to try and find an app to correct them...

Edit: Installed app. Still wont activate the top/bottom buttons on my 3 button setup but makes it so i can use the middle button to do pretty much everything i was looking for. Good looking out.
