Here are my main reasons that i get upset with android.

I recently bought a droid after months and months of research between droid and the iphone. I decided to play it safe by getting the droid with the possibility of a verizon iphone. I loveeee android but... i do have some reasons why i dont. i am telling you this because i want to see your opinion. As much as multitasking is good if you dont want to drain your battery there is no way to turn it off. Task killers havent worked for me. In a way i am jealous of the iphone users because atleast there phones can last longer than 12 months without being outdated by themselves. That is the one thing that i hate about android. unless you have 500$ to throw around every 3 months you will easily be left in the dust by google.

Idk just my opinion whats yours????

btw i need help with a problem...... i got a droid about 3 weeks ago and now i heard the nexus one will come to verizon on march 23...... should i return my droid and wait or keep my droid???????

Psh, more options is worse than less options? More updates worse than less updates? Psh I say!! That makes no sense whatsoever..

Depends if you want a physical keyboard or not. The N1 is a better phone generally speaking, and is tied to google so they should keep it up to date.

Do you think you'll like the N1 better than the Droid? If so, go for it. I admit that I am tempted but I just find the rounded corners of the HTC phones so offputting that I have a hard time thinking of trading my Droid for it. I've had it only a week and I love it to death.

The keyboard can kiss my butt though. The only power problems I really have with it is that I can't leave it alone. I am always downloading apps or tinkering with something. It does go through more power than any phone I have had, but I do more with it than any phone I have had. (Then I loaded Google Earth and it is hard to stop playing with it...)

True, but they left the g1 in the dust.
It's down to the n1 (google support?) vs. the incredible (htc sense) for me.
I'd stick with the iPhone but I think apple is going to keep it on AT&T and AT&T is going to continue having a lousy network.

I never thought I would be able to say this, but AT&T really hooked up the Washington, DC area. It isn't quite as rock solid as VZW but they have improved so much here, that I would be willing to give them a look if they came out on the better end a price war.

Android needs to make a BIG LEAP to get ahead of iPhone. And that leap is putting apps on to SD card. It's now an issue for my son - he has a T-Mobile Pulse and is now out of room for more apps. He wants more, he wants to pay for them (pay for them! A teenager looking to pay for software!) but now can't.

He does have over 2Gb free on his SD card though.

If Google doesn't address this issue FAST, then developers are going to start feeling the pinch on people simply not having the space to store apps.

There isn't much to go on in your post but it sounds like you need to do some more research on the matter. I multitask and it doesn't affect my battery life in such a way that disabling it would improve battery life. Misusing a task killer definitely won't improve your battery life (it can easily have the opposite effect). I suspect that you need to spend some time to determine that actual cause(s) for your poor battery life and address them. Task killers generally only treat the symptoms and not the actual issues.

unless you have 500$ to throw around every 3 months you will easily be left in the dust by google.
Really? Isn't 2.1 coming out for the Eris?

No one can answer that for you -- especially when you don't say what you're looking for. As with any device decision, read up on the options, try them out if you can and make a decision based on your needs/wants. Selecting a device isn't a one-size-fits-all thing.
