Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

Maybe its an app conflict. I will attempt to replicate this tomorrow. If Pandora's app needs an update, backup your current version and try the update. Will the same thing occur when using the MIUI music (or any other music) app jacked in and playing before a call? If no improvement from there, I would reflash your current ROM just to see if there was a problem on that end that only affected music/notifications/etc.

No joy on my headphone issue. I tried flashing back to a backup of MIUI I made right after I rooted and installed and it didn't help but now it's worse. I decided I would never put the headphone jack in again but last night it just popped on headphones and won't go away. The only way I can talk on my phone is on the speaker. This sucks. I guess I am headed down the dark path of trying to get a decent replacement.

Ah alright thanks. I'm afraid to recover goSMS with titanium backup in fear of corrupting my MMS since I've been having problems with that, so I'll just watch my count and send separate messages for now.

Also I have another problem. Miui reads my mp3 ring/notification tones, but it wont use them. I'll set my notification tone to a stock tone, then set it to my custom tone and it will play the stock tone I chose before it.

Any idea why it's doing this?

edit:
never mind, I believe I had to do it via the theme editing, not the Sounds menu.

Did you uninstall the miui. Music player? I found that if you did. Ringtones wont set

I was taking screen caps of the headphone icon in a theme last night and remembered this - fired up Pandora, music, and a couple other music apps - I'm sorry, I could not replicate what you are dealing with. Maybe someone else in here has an idea :(

Well, at least VM's customer service rocks even though this phone is not what I thought it would be, build quality wise. I emailed them saying the headphones were stuck on and I couldn't use the phone except on speaker. They sent me an email the next day saying, ok, you bought it online thru our store, so you have a 1 yr warranty...where do you want a replacement sent. They said use my battery and accessories and just send the phone back, but yesterday I got the phone and they sent me a new, unopened one. So I now have an extra charger, usb cable and battery. It only took 4 days to get it..I figured it would take longer and I would get some crappy refurb. I checked my old one and it's build date was 8-1 and this one 9-1. Before I restored my miui backup on it, I checked the signal strength and speed test. Pretty much identical. My co-worker has a VM LG Optimus V and he almost always gets 2 times the 3g speed.

But I got a BT headset that has an adapter for a headset jack so I NEVER have to plug the headset jack in my truck stereo into it again to listen to music!

Glad to hear you got a solution/new device :)

Yeah....Motorola Triumph...not so impressed with. VM Customer service...very impressed with! I didn't even have to re-pair my bt headset when I restored my backup! I had never even paid attention to the CWM instructions that you don't have to root the phone first, if you install the custom CWM version from TG, it roots it when it loads the restore image. This time I could have had it out of the pack and up and running MIUI in 15 minutes tops!

I just noticed that I can't download apps over 3G anymore. It keeps saying the app size requires wifi for download. I am not sure if this is a setting I messed with in miui. I don't remember it doing this before. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Try going into the download ui app. And toggle "download using wifi" hope it helps

I just flashed the latest miui rom, and as soon i started to do anything i kept getting force closes on EVERYTHING. it keeps saying "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Does anyone know how or why this might be happening and if there's anything I can do to fix it?

Sounds like a bad flash. I'm guessing you're talking about 1.11.25? Reflash it. If that doesn't work, maybe do a complete wipe and flash again.

I'm sorry to be such a bother, I haven't had any of these problems when flashing cm7 or even the alpha cm9 rom but now titanium is telling me I don't have root access. I downloaded busybox from market but it still isn't working. Can anyone help me with this issue?

SORRY I knew I had read about this issue somewhere else in the post and I found it. Reloading the app fixed the problem, thanks guys.

I read through the post and found the answer to my problem, except it's not working! I installed the Black Ice theme and now my phone is stuck in boot loop. I pulled the battery, tried to reboot into recovery but EVERY TIME, and it's been quite a few so far, I try it just goes straight through to the loading boot loop.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I have no clue what else I could do.

pull the battery for like 10 seconds or so to reset the internal circuitry then put the battery back in and hold the volume keys and power button. And your probably going to have to do a full wipe and reflash. And just for future reference don't use any other boot animation besides the default one from themes. I don't know why, but most if not all will put you in a boot loop.

I noticed the boot loop occurs when you have the Ice Cream MIUI boot animation selected. I am currently using the Android3 boot animation and it works perfectly fine.
