Help Install google wallet?

I'm rooted, running liquid rom v1.1 and want to use google wallet. How do I use it and where can I get it?

Dude, I don't know if Google has fixed the exploit that people can use to access your Google Wallet if your phone is rooted... so I can't recommend that app for you. Have you considered the security aspects of installing this?

Liquid doesn't have it baked in? A lot of roms do. I personally haven't used it just because there are only a handful of retailers i could use it at where i live.

Google pushed out an update a couple of weeks ago that fixed the major problem, which also could happen on non-rooted phones. (This also allowed those of us who had flashed a new ROM to use it again after they had shut it down due to security issues)

Now, I get a banner saying "Unsupported Device" which leads to a statement that says they won't take responsibility if you lose your money on your prepaid card on a rooted phone, but it works fine. And honestly, even when the security problem was at its worst, it was still more secure than a plastic credit card.

OP, go over to XDA and get the latest apk and install. That's the easiest way.

Anyone use Google wallet w/ the Verizon extended battery? I have used it with the regular battery fine but switched to the extended recently and it wouldn't go through. Have have also changed my rom and kernel since then so not sure it is the battery or something happen when I wiped and installed my new rom.

I think I remember reading in another Google wallet topic that since the app links itself to both the rom you're running and the actual NFC chip, that switching either of them screws things up. Since the chip is located on the battery itself, changing that changed the chip. I do know for a fact that if synced right the extended battery should work because mine does.

I have the extended battery. Running AOKP Build 31 using Wallet with no issues. Love it!

The battery doesn't have the nfc chip on it, it just has the antenna part, so switching the batteries doesn't matter. It's probably the rom, though I've switched roms plenty of times and never had any trouble. More likely, it gets screwed up when people restore apps and data.

Just deleted and reinstalled it. Will have to see if it works now.

When it works...people are amazed. When it doesn't...people think you are an idiot putting your phone up to the pay pass.

I have used Google wallet with the extended battery and liquid's rom. I have also used it on stock. Never had a problem with it and it works well. There was a from I tried that was just a 4.0.4 from with no extras that stopped wallet from working. I just switched roms and it works fine.

I use it with extended battery, no problems. I've used it maybe 25 times, it only failed once, and the cashier said that that pay pass machine never works anyway. Love it!
