Root cwm touch?

so i bought a transformer prime and while looking for a way to root it, because i updated and the new update had a patch on it to block root, i saw a post that said there was now a touch version of cwm. i was wondering if we will have that anytime soon on the prevail????

i think hroark tried it some time ago but couldn't get it working. the progress being made makes me think it could be tried again, though.

no. u have one too? i bet if one of the devs here had a prime they would have found one by now. the transformer section on android forums sucks so i check xda throughout the day to see if someone has a way to rot it. i wouldnt have updated if i would have known that asus was going to block root.

the only solution right now would be to unlock the bootloader but that would void the warranty.

Hypethetically speaking when you get the Prime rooted it'll void the warranty as well, so what's the difference??

you can unroot and asus will never know you were rooted. if you unlock the bootloader the only way to do it is by downloading an apk from the asus webpage and it all goes thru asus and there is currently no way to restore the bootloader. unlocking the bootloader is just so you can use cwm and flash custom roms but there are also some roms (currently 1 that i have read of) that can be installed without cwm. with root i can just run scripts and remove bloatware without the full customization. the only reason i dont want to void my warranty is because the prime hasnt been out long enough to know if there can be some kind of hardware failure other than the wifi and gps.

no sir, i am a Gtab user...i just dont like the idea of not being able to root any device, or a manufacturers attempt to TRY and stop it...take your asus back and get a Samsung

I think there's one on the TF101 (not that anybody cares about it anymore) but it's a stretch for the Prevail
