App to allow texting to groups, but without each one seeing the others?

I can't seem to find this readily....perhaps I'm goofing something up, or just googling for the wrong thing. Odd.

Using my DROID 4 (GB 2.3.6) on Verizon, I can't seem to txt to more than one person without each person knowing all the others sent to. I don't know if that's a Verizon thing or not, but my T-Mobile friends have that as well.

But there are a LOT of times I'd rather have each txt sent out separately (and pay for it....that's ok), just so that everyone sees only me as the sender. Or do a BCC: style send out. Whatever works.

Is there an app for that? GO SMS doesn't advertise that (that I saw) and the stock SMS app doesn't have an option either.

I think this is some sort of weird carrier issue or something. Some guys want to enable what you have on your phone but can't seem to (I also can't enable it), but other guys have what you want by default, like me.

So "group texting" might not be part of the SMS protocol itself and exist on only some carriers? In any case, it should certainly be possible for an app to generate multiple texts----sent out one after another.

.....assuming that there isn't a throttle on that somewhere.
