Trouble downloading FIFA 12

I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is the wrong area or something like that...

Basically, I bought FIFA 12 on the Play Store and installed it. Once I first opened it it asked me to download additional content so I started doing so. It ran just fine untill it hit 57%, when it then got extremely slow and gave me an error telling me to reconnect and restart the app.

I checked my connection, tried both on 3g and via router, checked how much space I have left on my phone.... Did everything really, even contacted EA and they were of no help at all.

It simply tells me to restart the app followed by a "(-12)" after the message. I'm running it on a LG Optimus Black which is said to be compatible with the game.

Do you guys have any idea what can I do to finally be able to play the game I paid for?

Thanks in advance!

Reset the app by going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > <Game> >Clear Data. Then reboot the phone. Connect to WiFi or 4G (if either are available) and try to download the game's extra content, again.

I had tried doing so before but without rebooting my phone.

I just tried it again and the clear data option isn't clickable... I then uninstalled the game by clicking on the uninstall button on that same page and downloaded it again from Play store... After downloading the game from there it then asked me for additional content download after I first ran the app.

It showed something like 42% at first, jumped to something like 54% then to 57% and got stuck there like before, with a ridiculous transfer rate and after a while gave me the same error.

I then tried doing what you had told me again and still the clear data button wasn't clickable.

Any idea on what could be wrong? :(

You might have to email the company and see if there is a way to get the additional content some other way or simply try again at a different time. Their servers might be busy and that could be causing your problems.

I've been trying for around 3 days now... Their support just keeps giving me generic replies about FIFA 12 as a whole.

Get the sd data from google search.
:D

How am I supposed to do that?

Presumably by finding it on some unofficial site of unknown reputation, which is a very good way to infect your handset with malware and other nasties.

You've purchased an incomplete product so someone, either EA or Google, is duty-bound to make sure you get what you paid for. Have you tried using the "Report a problem" option against the FIFA 12 entry in the "My Account" section of Google Play?

Even if I tried downloading it from an unofficial source I doubt the additional content would be there... probably only the "starting" app cn be found.

Anyways, EA has told me they will take up to two weeks to answer me and I just sent a report on Google Play to see what can be done, tho I have no idea where I can see if they have read/replied to it.

Also, isn't there a way to clean those 57% that I already have installed and just start from 0?

Don't count on EA replying they're a horrible company.

To start from 0%, download a file manager, go to your SD Card and then Android/data/ and look for com.ea.game.fifa12.

Delete that.

Well, I've been buying their games and using Origin for a while now and their support has been gret untill now. They have really helped me on issues about Battlefield, Mass Effect (Origin related) and FIFA.

I tried resetting my SD card before I got to see this reply and it seems to be fine now, I will post an update in a bit saying if it worked properly.
