.. on Sensation (ICS) block calls (from contacts or add number) works just fine, there's no incoming call notification whatsoever, but problem is how to block unknown/private calls? .. since I can't add blocked caller without a number, does anyone knows how to manage that, without using additional app? .. also, go sms pro have such an option (block sms)?

Why don't you want to use an additional app? For example, Mr.Number has such an option (and many others), and it's free, why not use it?

.. cos there's no app avalaible that will stop ring/notify incoming call at the system level, there is root call blocker, but it is for rooted users only .. I need blocker with such an option - no notification at all

Comodo is what I use and it does that. All it is doing is showing up the blocked call and sms

Have you tried?
Maybe my phone is special, but it worked for me, at least when I blocked specific numbers. When there was a call from that unwanted number, I didn't hear or see it, only later received a notification from my operator about a voice-mail message left.

.. did I tried Comodo? .. no, I read some negative user response about (not) blocking sms and antitheft bug, anyway as I mentioned before ICS system blocking option is good enough for contacts with number, only one thing missing - block calls with NO number .. guess there's a some workaround? .. or not? .. also, go sms pro have blacklist option

I was talking about Mr.Number. What I meant - it works for me with specified unwanted numbers, and it has an option to block private/unknown numbers, which I am sure will work the same way (I am just not using it).
I don't understand why you don't want just to try a free app - of course nobody guarantees it will help, but it might actually just solve your problem.

.. just finished with Mr.Number, and as I suspected, notification is visible after blocked calls and inside app as well, as I see it in notification bar .. even when set silent in app settings .. not to mention that phone show/vibrate for a sec

Well, worth a try. I'll do more monitoring in my setup though. I believe its blocking was less intrusive in my case.

.. I did tried a lot of blocker apps, but only Root Call Blocker really blocks everything at the system level, no notifications/rings/vibrate .. but it wont work (still) on ICS, waiting for hboot 1.27.0000 to be rooted

I use Call Control. Not sure what you mean by saying there's no such thing, but I am not rooted and I have no notification at all when there's a blocked call or SMS. I know I have some because the app keeps a block log.

.. well, I'm familiar with Call Control, free version limits 3 black list number, this is not even legitimate trial .. and 8$ (pro) is far more expensive for me

I've done more testing with Mr.Number. Yes, sometimes it lets a second of vibration on a call. But it doesn't happen every time, and it does block the call ring. Notification from the app itself is optional - when set to None, there is nothing.

So I'd say it does work, even though not ideally, but definitely could be used. I guess it might be possible to tweak it to catch the call earlier, so that even vibration would not be noticeable.

Nope, Call control not only rings through once, it's INSANELY annoying when a call comes in while you're on a call. FIRED.
