Rezound Wet / Boot Looping w/ Cover on or off!?

Hey all,

My phone is boot looping (restarting constantly). I've search and found the "network" issue repair but mine issue appears to be different. My Android will bootloop with the cover on or off, SIM card in or out. Boot Loop. If I try and factory reset? Same thing, boot loop!?

Yesterday I got my phone a little wet while working in the rain for an extended period of time. HOWEVER it worked fine for 12 hours afterward. I made a few phone calls, checked my email, everything was working fine. This morning I tried to send a text message and it would not send, so I hit restart and the infinite boot loop started, showing only the white HTC screen!

I purchased this phone used on eBay, so do not think I can just get a new one at Verizon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know very little about Android phones. This is my first which I've had for only a week! I was on the iPhone for the last 4 years.

Help!!! I took the day off work to get this sorted out.

Take off your battery cover and remove your battery. Look at the water damage indicator. Right side (opposite side of SIM) against the side of battery enclosure.

What color does it show?

One corner (about 1/4 of the tab) is kind of red. The rest is white with X's. The battery also has the same tab and is all X's.

So it doesn't look like it took on any major water damage. Was your phone stock? Or rooted with a custom ROM?

Can you access the recovery? Volume Down + Power when the phone is off.

The phone was/is bone stock. I can access recovery. I attempted to do a factory restore with no luck. I get hung up on the same white HTC screen.
