Help Micro sd card help

You are correct, the stock music player does not look at the SD card. You can do a few things;

1. Move all your other stuff to SD Card to make room for music files
2. Install another Music player that does see the file on SD - there are many. I will leave someone else to continue.

Not sure about that. I have all my music on the external microSD card and it can find the music just fine. I rarely use the stock player not because it can't be used, but because I find doing the playlist a little tedious. I use Poweramp, and it updates the playlist based on the music folders that I create.

Actually not sure what the OP meant by dragging the music to the external_SD but doesn't work. Maybe the OP should try moving the files or folders by connecting it like a mass storage device and do it through the PC.

The gs2 can be quite picky which folders apps will read. Try creating a folder on the external sd called MUSIC and then move your albums there.

That could be. I wouldn't know. I made a "Music" Folder and in that folder I have sub-folders based on album name, or artist, etc. Works fine for me. Maybe just lucky.

I also have notifications and ringtones folder. Those is for choosing from phone when setting ringtones instead of browsing for it.

Cheers

You might found that if you reboot it forces the phone to do a media scan.

I've found with all of my music players, on phones, PC or media players, that the best way to organise things is to keep it all in a folder called Music, inside which is one folder for each artist/band, and inside those are the album folders. I have an 'artist' folder called Various for collections.
