***NOTE*** THIS WAS CREATED AND POSTED BEFORE THE OTA UPDATE... THIS STOCK ROM VERSION IS 2.3.4.

I thought I make things a little easier for some of our users here and make a stock rom with BobZhome's OC Kernel with the touchscreen fix and root.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43332762/Transform_Ultra_Stock+.rar

Instructions:

1. Boot into CWM recovery (NOT ROM MANAGER).

2. Make a backup.

3. Restore from Transform_Ultra_Stock+

4. Format cache/factory reset.

5. Wipe Dalvik.

6. Fix Permissions.

7. Reboot and enjoy.

Will This Be Able To Upgrade To 2.3.6 OTA?

Will This Be Able To Upgrade To 2.3.6 OTA?

/shrug I dunno lol I just took stock rom from chevans post and flashed bobzhome's kernel onto it to provide an easy way for people to access a rom for their phones with the touch screen fixed. This was before I learned that 2.3.6
was coming out mere hours after I did this.

Ok could someone please tell me whats the big difference between from manager and cwm? I know we have our own cwm but I downloaded rom manager and it still works fine.
Rom manager is made by the company that makes clockworkmods. For a lot of phones this is a fine program to have and use. Our phone is not compatible with clockworkmods or rom manager.

"But wait" you say "we have clockworkmods in this forum and everyone says to use that.."

You are correct, however our clockworkmods is not actually clockworkmods but a recovery tool BASED on clockworkmods and provided for our use by interdepth (may the heavens sing his praises). It is not an official release but rather a release that will work for our phone where the official one will not.

You may have rom manager the app installed and some of it may be functional but if you try to restore a rom with it you will have a 200 dollar paperweight. The only publicly available recovery mode tool that works for the transform ultra is the one found on these forums. Keep in mind though if you go around telling people rom manager works for you they are going to assume they can flash a rom with it and brick their phones because people sometimes do not read all the way through. This is why everyone says rom manager no clockworkmods yes.

Thank you for clearing it up. So besically the app is just the same as rom manager except tweaked up to work with our phone. When I said that rom manager works I meant to say that I can open up and click on the "reboot into recovery". Other than that I don't click on anything else.

Almost. Rom Manager is an app (do not use), the official clockworkmods (will not work) is a recovery program made by the same company. The thing that interdepth released on these forums as well as acs is a modified version of the clockworkmods program but not technically an app.

I guess all of this confused me because I don't reboot into recovery mode the by pressing some of the buttons like you guys do. I just go to the app and press "reboot into recovery"

yes it means overclocking and be careful when you guys do it cause it may brick your phone. I'm running at 1.805 and it works great. also download No-frills cpu from the market and its free

not a good idea to run any phones set speed at 1800 mhz for a long period of time..not unless you wanna shorten the life of your phone
