Optimus S - Dial A Contact From PC with PC Suite IV?

Hi All

With my old Nokia, using Nokia PC Suite, I was able to dial-out to a contact in my address book when the phone was connected via USB, while using my Bluetooth headset.

The LG PC Suite IV with the Optimus S doesn't seem to support this.

Anyone know of any 3rd party apps that can do it?

Cheers

I do know of a service that does this plus more. First you need a Google Voice account. Next you have two options: port your current number for $20 or get a new one for free. Google Voice is explained on its website (www.voice.google.com) but jumping ahead to dialing from your desktop. Search for "GVDialer" and "GVNotifier" on Google and download those from the Google code website. GVDialer adds an icon to your tray that you can right-click at amy time and dial a number to call and click enter. Your Optimus will ring. Answer it and it connects you to the number you called. To setup GVDialer you need too login to your Google Voice account and for 'callback number', type your Optimus number. Now if you need to view your contacts before you call them then setup GVNotifier with your Google account and your contacts are loaded from your Google account that you can text or call from that program.

Google voice also lets you text, record calls, have your number ring all sorts of phones, and more. Calling in the US is free.
