Help LG Thrill 4G won't turn on

Last night I was deleting some default apps with a root explorer to make some extra space. After I finished, I restarted my phone to make sure all the changes were made but when it booted back up, the only thing that comes on is the LG symbol and the buttons will light up.

I didn't delete anything that I thought the phone would need. It was basically things like default 3D Games that I didn't play and apps like Twitter, Navigators, Stocks, etc. I took out the battery, the sim card, and the sandisk chip continuously and put it back in but no change.

I'm wondering if I've bricked it. I'm not able to send it to recovery mode or anything like that. Supposedly there's a trick where you hold the power button and the volume down button together and it doesn't work. But my phone will charge. After putting my battery in, it'll show the battery icon charging when I have it plugged in.

I've read a lot of reviews and complaints that have been made about this phone and am just wondering if it's a glitch or something. Anyways, an answer to what's wrong with it and what to do to fix it would be appreciated.

I also would like to know that if I have to take it somewhere, will they know my phone is rooted and any suggestions on how to go about getting away with that, lol.

I also would like to know that if I have to get a new phone, will moving my sandisk chip to the new phone affect it and give it the same problems because I rooted it?

It sounds like you have removed something integral to the operating system (some apps are needed by the system because of the way that carriers make their UI work).

One option would be to try flashing a custom ROM on your phone, however it sounds like you are unable to get in to recovery, which means that you may not be able to do that.

I have no experience with your phone, so can't really give you a great deal of advice - perhaps someone from the Thrill forums may be able to help. If you can't even get your phone turned on, then your provider may not be able to tell, but then again, they may be able to make a educated guess as to what has happened.

You ask about the sandisk chip... I guess you mean that SD card... putting that in a different phone will not make any difference to the new phone... rooting your current phone should not have done anything to the SD card.

Hope you manage to get your issue sorted!
