I have a sensation 4g with ICS 4.0.3 and Sense 3.6 installed. I am trying to root, but having quite some issues.

I have been following the directions on this website Android AdvicesHow to Root HTC Sensation on Latest Official ICS Firmware

and have followed the directions, which directs you to HTCdev.com to unlock my bootloader. I followed all the directions there and entered in the command prompts to at Step 8 there. A continued to get a error message from the website stating:

Error Code: Invalid Bootloader Token Length.
Error Reason: The submitted Token appears to be the wrong length and won't work.

Any help would be much appreciated (or just a simpler way to root)!

Thank you

sounds like you have simply included some extra characters in your token. i would prolly try it again, making sure to only copy the characters shown in htcdevs pic.

just want to stress that after you htcdev unlock,do not be satisfied with that. htcdev unlock is a pain,to put it simply. after youve installed a recovery and flashed root files, then you should go to Unlimited.IO to become s-off.

alternately, you can use this guide, wich uses temp root so you dont have to mess with htcdev unlock:
[GUIDE] Juopunutbear S-OFF NO VOID WARRANTY| ROOT (1.2x HBOOTS)--NEW: ONE CLICK ROOT - xda-developers

Do juntopebear method instead from xda youll get to keep your warranty

juopunut bear needs root access. options are:
1)htcdev unlock
2)temp root with the tool i linked

i would recomend htcdev,as supposedly the timiing for doing the wire trick is not as critical. running juopunut bear will remove all visual traces of having used htcdev,by resetting your "lock status" flash,so that your hboot then displays locked again after the process.
