Wow. Way too early huh? Ok. I guess I will go back to reading only.

Zaaye, I'm sorry, I was just a little worked up by that foxnews guy and I shouldn't have let him get to me. By the same token, we have a good thread here with a lot of excitement brewing and I thought he was out of place. Different views are good, but he was intentionally trying to bring the mood down. If you don't want the Supersonic and you don't like Sprint, don't bother coming here and spouting off like that. This forum belongs to everyone, but when someone talks like that, I'm going to call them out on it. (Yeah, I'm getting feisty in my old age).

I've never been in an iPhone forum, but if I ever did go into one, I wouldn't run down their phone and brag about the Supersonic. I wouldn't run down Verizon either. A lot of people really like their service, but I think Sprint's going to whip their tail for awhile. Guess I should include AT&T since they have the iPhone. I don't have anything against them either. Heck, they have the fastest 3G network on the planet and they have a map for that.

LTE and a Verizon 4G phone are a long way off, but people keep talking about LTE as if it were something. Right now it doesn't even exist here in the US.

Sprint is showing a commercial where an iPhone is running on their little Overdrive Hub, if you can believe that. The multi-mode seems to be on other people's minds too, but I don't think we should dwell on it. Just know that they're working on it already and there will be alternatives down the road to address the problem.

Here's an article that appeared on BGR you might want to check out: Beceem announces a new WiMAX/LTE multi-mode chipset

Sorry again, Zaaye. I just noticed you already posted this link.

I was just browsing the web and I passed a review on the nokia nuron, and I realized something that I missed from my instinct that I really liked. The dedicated camera button on the side, I liked holding my phone up like a camera and snapping off photos. Maybe that could be something for HTC to think about for future phones. I think the SS is too far along to add that feature. But it would be a nice feature for a phone of this magnitude.

Sign in to your sprint account under my sprint. It says come back tomorrow for info on a ground breaking device. I was excited to see it.

Hi to all.

This is my first post. After finding out about the HTC Supersonic, I had to join in the discussion. I was so set on getting the HD2 on T-mobile until I heard rumors about a phone that's going to come out to Sprint. The specs would be the same and it would run on Android 2.1 or even better!!! Meaning this phone would be superior to the HD2 in my opinion. I waited months to get the HD2 but with the Supersonic being released later this year....I can wait little longer.

your looking at a release in a few weeks hopefully, not later this year ;) and this is the HD2 on crack, no crappy wimo, has android!!!! on sprint, and hell it just is beautiful

Yeah I know they will make some sort of announcement tomorrow. But do you think it's going to be released in a few weeks?? If that's the case I better start saving money now lol. I hope its not too expensive.

Thank you. Oh and thank you for making such a thread. This phone needs to be noticed. I think this is the super phone that I have been waiting for. I always knew that patience is a virtue. :D

Define expensive? I spent over $500 on my Pre since I was already a customer but I also don't mind spending money one something that I will use daily for a year or two. Likewise, people in the US have gotten way too used to subsidized phones and don't realize how much they cost. Granted the carriers (except T-Mo) haven't given us a reason to do otherwise. The proper thing to do is to offer a cheaper plan for bring-your-own phone and a more expensive one to pay off a subsidy.

Honestly I don't mind paying right out as long as I pay less monthly.

Thankfully, Sprint is cheap enough that I deal with it. They are only slightly more than the BYO plans on TMobile so I save either way. I have a $150 upgrade discount on my girlfriend's line for some reason so I might have to upgrade her Pre to the Supersonic, then do an ESN swap to put my number on the SS and hers on my Pre. As long as I don't lose the other upgrade I would have gotten in June I am cool. Still, if it's a ~$600 phone I will still be paying $450 for one with my discount. Good thing I won an extra $100 at Atlantic city this past weekend :)
