I can't believe how whiny some of you people are. How terrible that they're being sent via 2nd day instead of overnight. How will you ever survive that one additional day? Shut up and grow up. It's just a phone, I think you'll all make it.

its not just 1 day , its 3 as it turns out they don't ship on weekends now do they? chill out :p

Nah, Samsung's just read all your posts about cell reception and they are getting out all the preorders they can before yours so nobody can cancel when they hear how disgruntled you are when you finally do get yours.

Actually when I was at Best Buy this weekend I heard all the guys talking about you...they REALLY don't like you!

I am hearing good things about reception from folks I know, so at least that is a decent sign. Best Buy equals my electronics physics professor back in the day - we did not get along either....

Mods....please change JazzTalkers name to JIVEtalker :)

Seriously though, I do have to agree. It's one thing to be wishful in getting ASAP, but it's another to throw a fit over it. Sure I would have liked to have received my phone already, but it's not THAT big of a deal to have to wait.

After all, Verizon is actually OVER delivering in most cases. They've said all along that these would ship out around the 9th or 10th. So really we all could have been waiting until the 10th or 11th to receive our phones (9th or 10th PLUS 1-2 days shipping). Just count your blessing and be happy that VZW is getting many of these out early.

Got my 16gb Blue G3. Inserted the sim chip provided, activated it and it automatically put me on a 2gb data plan (moved me from unlimited). Called a VZW rep and manager and they said that there was nothing they could for me. Unbelievable

Seriously? When you preordered, didn't you receive an email or receipt stating your new contract/plan? If it's in writing they have to honor it.

Their response is the unbelievable thing, since you preordered before 6/28, as they publicly stated was the end date. Kick some butt.

Ordered 6/18 (16gb Marble White). CC charged 7/6. No tracking number as of this point. Per Verizon's website, my order has been sent for processing with no expected shipment date. Yesterday it had a estimated shipment date of 7/10. My dad who ordered a White 32gb on 7/8 has already gotten his tracking number. :(

Ok, as soon as clicked enter, my Droid X vibrated with the email I have been waiting on from Verizon. Monday it is! :)

I walked into a vzw store today to browse cases. They didn't have any out so I asked and they gave me a weird look and said they had some in the back. So the girl brought a bunch out and she said here they are but the phone isn't out yet. And then I pulled mine out and said "ohhhhh ;)" and the other guy working next to her was like "wait is that the phone? How did you get that!?!" I was really surprised. I let the one rep check it out. I guess they haven't even seen them in person yet. They work at Verizon and a customer has the phone already before they have even seen them. Pathetic.

Yeah, I agree with the other responses to your post. If you just left it at that and hung up then you aren't trying very hard. Just make another phone call and don't give up until you get satisfaction.

However...Are you saying that you activated it yourself WITHOUT calling Verizon to walk you through it? I realize this is a looooong thread but it's been specifically stated several times (Including by me) that Verizon recommends calling them and having them activate the phone for you. If you didn't do this then, well, better get back on that phone and start bitching loudly to someone. I know some people have activated their phone by themselves and kept Unlimited Data but why risk it? Why risk going through all of that aggravation if it turns out that something goes wrong. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

I don't have mine yet (Coming Tuesday?) so I went to my local Verizon Corp. store yesterday because I wanted to at least hold one in my hands and see how it felt. The sales people were all just standing around doing nothing. There was a guy and his daughter looking around and then me. I asked if they had a SGS3 in so I could check it out. The guy closest to me said, "I've only worked here for a month so I don't know, I'll go look". Nobody even seemed to know if they had one or not. He went back and about 5 minutes later came out with one still covered with the sticky plastic covers. He said, "I was told not to turn it on." I didn't care that much but I thought it weird that they have at least one and they haven't even bothered to unbox it and turn it on yet. Not one employee appeared to be doing anything at all. Seems like they might take some time to look at what is arguably the hottest phone of the year.

The guy asked me if I wanted to order one and I said, "Nope, already have two on order straight from Verizon." I told him (and the 2 or 3 others within earshot) that quite a few people who pre-ordered theirs have already received them. At first they had an annoyed look like they didn't believe me. I told them I've read about quite a few and it was a fact. I'm not sure if they believed me or not. But he hovered over me like a hawk while I held it for about a minute and seemed to really want to take it out of my hands. As soon as I set it down he scooped it up and he walked it right back to their store room.

Seems like at least one of them would've been interested in seeing it. I'm guessing that these sales people also waited until the night before their term paper in high school was due before cracking open their books. I won't say "Never" but it's pretty rare that I go to buy anything, be it a new car, a cell phone, or a lawn mower, that I don't know more about it than the person trying to sell it to me does.

What did you say in your tweet? Be good to know so anyone else effected can reply similarly.

Yeah, would be good to know.

Also, before activating the new GS3, I would log into my account and make screen captures showing my plan (that I have unlimited data) just in case. It should be in their system, and they should already know. But then again, you never know. Just playing it safe.

FEDEX tracking sucks compared to UPS! UPS shows play by play every step of the way. The GEICO Caveman could probably do a better job of reporting.
Sorry Doit2it! Using Parcel App - works great - if only the FEDEX site could too.

Hey! Everyone's entitled to their opinion. And you know what they say about opinions?
Opinions are like a@@h@les. Everybody's got one, and most of them stink.

Good to see many people are getting their CC charged today. It took 5 hours from my CC being charged until I got my Verizon email yesterday, so keep that in mind.

Been playing with my SIII for, dang, 3 hours. It's amazing how fast apps install compared to my DX. Haven't seen any lag, not even the Home button lag some have described. Y'all are gonna LOVE it!

you must have not had unlimited when you preorded then because it doesn't change anything when inserting the sim except for what you had agreed to in the terms and conditions.
