Hi guys ever since i updated my phone to froyo 2.2 i've been having some problem with some application...

Whenever i try to download anything from 4shared or other websites it wont install even if the "demo" version works to install in google play.

When i had 2.1 everything worked even if it wasn't compatible with the device.
Is there a way to make it work again? :(

Welcome to the AndroidForums, preforz! :)

Not sure what might be going on with your device...what kind of phone do you have and who is your carrier? (that might help folks to direct you to an area where other folks might have experience and a solution to your issues).

Also, just a heads-up, the website you mentioned is known for harboring pirated apps and warez (or even modified with malware), so its entirely possibly you've downloaded and installed something not compatible or proper for your device, which might be causing your issues.

Cheers and again, welcome to AF!

Thanks for the reply :)

Well i currently have samsung galaxy I550 known as galaxy 5.

Those pirated apps used to work fine when i had 2.1, i even installed the same version and downloaded the exact same file to my 2.2 and it just wouldn't work. I even saved some of those .apk file in my SD card.. games like angry birds etc.

Any suggestion on how i can fix it? please :(

No suggestions for pirated apps, I afraid...:(

We don't allow discussion of that here at AF.

ohh ok :(

BTW i installed an app called juicedefender.. i may believe thats the app who screwed up my phone a little bit... it made it slower so i uninstalled it.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Yeah, that's a "battery saver" app that tries to help you manage things that use up your battery (which is, LOL, basically everything on your phone).

I've not used it before, but there are ways to manage things like this yourself (turning down the screen brightness a bit, using wi-fi instead of 3G when you have a wi-fi network available, turning off live wallpapers, etc.).

That app might have been killing apps in the background that it thought were using CPU. However, Android 2.1 and above does a pretty good job of managing apps all by itself, so I'm not convinced that active app management is necessary.

Take a peek at the Samsung Galaxy Europa (5) - Android Forums (I think / hope that's your proper device's home forum)...I think you'll find several good threads in there to help you :).

By the way, regarding 4shared and other pirate/warez sites, we don't want to lend any credibility to sites like that--they're actively stealing and hosting paid content, so that's why we cut short any discussion of them here at AF. And, as an app dev myself, I find them particularly offensive.

Cheers and good luck!

I'm not sure, preforz...

I've moved your thread over to the Galaxy Europa (5) area where the good folks there can hopefully help you out (I'm afraid that I don't know your device, so I'd be remiss giving you anything but the most basic of advice).
