Help Xperia U: Forgot the screen PIN

Hi,
I am using Xperia U and when i was checking McAfee security, I accidentally switched the screen lock on my phone.
Because I do not remember setting the PIN for unlocking my phone screen and now I can not use the phone!! I've tried all the combinations that I would have put but nothing worked.
Does anyone know how to unlock it or do I need to reset or install software or something!?
Can you please please teach me!!

If you are talking about a screen lock password, then after a fixed number of incorrect entries your device should prompt you for the password for the gmail account the phone is registered to. If that doesn't work, shut off the device, log into the gmail account on a website and change the password using Google's Password Recovery.

Once the new password is confirmed, turn on the device and try using the new password. The above does rely on you having either 3G or WIFI enabled on your device, and if it's not, the only other solution would be a full factory reset!

After numbers of incorrect pin entries, it always says to retry in 30 sec and that's all. It doesn't seem to direct me to gmail password thing or no where.
.... This means I might need to factory reset?! If so, would you be able to tell me how to do it, please?

Accidentally typed the correct pin, which I never had set ( coz it was just 123456!) and unlocked it!!

I am facing the same problem related to Mcafee security pin code, but I tried Forgot PIN link, but as informed buy pop msg, temporarily PIN is not receiving on my Buddy's Number
