I need remove Messaging App on Motorola Triumph,and so rooted my MTwith MIUI. but I still cannot remove messaging APP. How can I access to root explore? The battery is still a problem, do you have an effecient way to save battery?

ok i just installed 2.4.20 realized the phone app still force closes, wiped and went back to 1.11.25 and now its doing the same thing...... Im freaking out its never done this before, so either some crazy MIUI virus or the problem could be its saving some config file on my sdcard that could be messing with it. Just a random thought :/ although its problly not even related i just thought i would throw it out there

Love this ROM although I'm now having a strange problem. Had to go back to Stock ROM temporarily to activate my phone when I switched phone numbers.

After that I restored Nandroid backup of MIUI 1.11.25 I had been using that was working fine a few days ago (could make and receive calls with no problems). Now whenever I make a phone call or receive a phone call, the phone reboots after 2-3 seconds of the phone call. Very frustrating and would appreciate any help?

I flashed MIUI 2.4.20 to test that and had the same thing. Went back to the stock ROM and the calls work fine, no reboots. I can't keep this phone on the stock ROM - can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

After about six months of debating, I finally had the balls to install this Rom. I freed up about 800 megs of internal memory. (No warnings about running out of space now). I downloaded and ran a battery calibrator and yesterday got 14 hours of medium usage out of the phone. Since I bought the Triumph I couldn't make it through a day without a recharge. Love the Rom and it's like I got a new phone. Thanks!!

I've never tried this ROM before but I'll throw it on my MT later this afternoon, just to play around with it, and post back here.

Worth noting is that there was a significant update posted a few replies up.

Just checked it out and the camera works fine, both rear and front-facing. Video works well from both front and back as well.

After just a few minutes of playing around I like what I see. Very snappy right off the bat with no lag or hesitation.

Edit: One thing I don't like with this (and some of the other MIUI builds) is that there is never an option to reboot into Recovery. Only a minor gripe but I thought I'd mention it.

Oh! ok! I downloaded the one that was in the beginning of the thread. And there were two the old and the current... but I guess it was current at that point (NOV 2011). So... Just curious... What Recovery are you using? I used b_randon14's CWM v6.0.1.5 to successfully install this and MIUI 2.4.20. I have not tried installing these with CWM v5.0.2.6. Incidentally, I have NOT been able to install MIUIv4 (build 20120525) with v6.0.1.5 but it WILL install using v5.0.2.6.

It may be a little overkill, but this is the procedure I follow when installing a new ROM, switching to an old Nandroid backup, etc.:

1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache partition
3. Advanced -> Wipe dalvik cache
4. Mounts and storage -> Format:
a. System
b. Data
c. Cache
d. sd-ext
e. Hidden
f. Hiddendata
5. Flash ROM/Nandroid/etc.

I did have a question, is there a way to only have selected apps on the screens? and be able to open 'all apps' to find the ones that aren't used as often? That was the first thing I noticed that was a little different.

Oh, also I noticed there isn't a reboot into recovery option. Can that be added?

This is definitely the first thing people notice about MIUI when coming from any other ROM. The functionality is much like an iPod/iPhone in that all the installed apps appear on the home screens. The most common solution is to create a folder on one of the home screens and put all of your less frequently used apps inside it.

Trying to nurse a grandfathered $25 Virgin Mobile plan as long as possible. This is the fastest phone that still qualified!

LOL I had to give up the $25 plan. 300 minutes just didn't cut it for me anymore.

I just posted a long comment on the 2.4.20 thread about my experience so far if you want to check it out. As far as being the "last real stable version" I suppose that depends on who you ask. There HAS been an update to MIUI4 based on ICS. However, it has the same issues that all the other ICS builds have had on the MT, mainly the camera.

If you really want to check out a good ICS build then I suggest you take a look at Paranoid Android v1.6. The devs have been able to get both the rear and the front-facing camera working. The downside is that the camcorder does not work. Besides that, everything else works beautifully. I was running PA1.6 for several months. The only reason I jumped over to MIUI2.4.20 was because I've always liked MIUI and I wanted to see if 2.4.20 would suit my needs as a "daily driver" ROM.

The camera I'll use; but not the camcorder; would rather use a DSLR there! I'll take a look; but honestly, so far, I really like the 2.4.20 build! I'll look at the thread closely.

Same here, I don't have much use for the camcorder. The more I use MIUI, the slower it seems at times. Sometimes it's really quite fast and snappy, other times it's a bit sluggish doing the same things. I haven't taken the time yet to narrow it down to anything specific, but I'm guessing that it's an issue with running low on free memory from too many apps being used.
