Got this done sometime ago and Thank You for the info and your hard work. Rocking all the sprint bits now and had nary a dropout till I forgot i had my headphones plugged in and couldn't figure out why I didn't hear any sound from the speakers DOH.
Do not update the PRL after doing this, it goes back to 61009

I had rooted and s-off but I did not have these installed.

These are for win7 but xp might be there too , its a place to start looking.

HELP WITH PRL UPDATE. So I did the ##3484# and tried to connect to my computer. It doesn't show up in QPST. I have tried uninstalling/installing everything suggested on this forum and on other sites on the web. Nothing has worked. And now, any time I restart my phone, it automatically goes into that mode. I even tried to update the PRL using the settings menu, and it still happens. PLEASE HELP.

what rom are you using? it will not happen if you are running midnight. flash to harmonia, then do it. to keep the thing from poping up after restarts. push the menu button and select disable.

I'm on Harmonia. I was trying on my laptop and desktop to no avail. Took a 5 min break, came back, and it's all done. Got it all to work. Have NO clue what happened, but the PRL update is now there.

I can't believe how much better my phone is. Have had zero errors, consistent bars,great speeds, and harmonia is perfectly keeping things aline. My texts can become shuffled because of timestamps though. I find if I text myself the received text will appear above the sent text stating it was sent a minute earlier. Weird. Maybe my phone's clock is ahead of the network's? Any ideas?

Ps - I powered off and it fixed itself.

I did all the steps as listed in the first post. When I got to the PRL, I ran into some trouble, as my computer would not recognize my phone or the port it was located in. I unplugged the phone for about 5 minutes, came back, and it worked flawlessly. Not sure how or why, but it showed up that time. But now every time I boot my phone, it automatically goes into DM Command Service. I have to hit either the back or home button in order to get out. Everything on the phone works (although it is draining the battery if I don't kill the process), it's just annoying, and I'm afraid it may cause future problems. Any help?

I am running the latest Harmonia, S-Off, and all of my hboot, PRI, PRL, etc. is from this thread.

Ok. So the flashing of the downgraded boot radio and all that, no prob. Then came the QSPT part. I had no problems until I got to the part that says "Add a new port", there was nothing there. I am not familiar with the process in locating this port on my pc. I would like to complete the process but have no idea where to begin looking for a port address.

Everything worked perfectly fine except for the PRL update. I get up to step 6 and get an error. It says Online Connection Failure. Has anyone else run into this problem?

No point in doing prl. VM users have a @virginmobile tag to our logon and get put to the lowest priority.

No prl is going to change that. And if you change your username, you won't even connect.

After obtaining SuperCID, it works beautiful! hboot 1.57 with radio 1.09.00.0706 works really nice together. No signal jumping and NO errors! Still testing.

Is there a way to unlock 1.04? Is it needed or will s-off override a locked BL?
I tried to unlock it with my token but I received and error that the partition didn't exist. Do I have to flash back to 1.57 in order to have an unlocked boot loader?

After obtaining SuperCID, it works beautiful! hboot 1.57 with radio 1.09.00.0706 works really nice together. No signal jumping and NO errors! Still testing.

Let me explain what I was trying to obtain.

Stock rom
Stock hboot
Upgraded ICS radio

Of course after unlocking, rooting and S-off I attempted to flash the newest ICS radio. I got the CID error. Frustrated, I attempted to downgrade the hboot to 1.04. Well we know what happened, yes, boot loops. After flashing back to the stock hboot I set the phone to SuperCID and flashed the newest radio. So, I obtained my objective and couldn't be happier!

Observations so for:
Improved signal
NO signal fluctuations
No heat
No extra battery drainage

I think HTC/VIRGIN should just update the radio to the newest ICS version. The phone is now what I expected out of the box!

enter the command "fastboot getvar cid" [ it should be SPCS_002]
enter the command "fastboot oem writecid 11111111"
enter the command "fastboot reboot-bootloader (Wait for it to reboot the bootloader)
enter the command "fastboot getvar cid" [it should confirm your CID is 11111111]
enter the command "fastboot reboot"

^^^ Can do it that way. A much easier way is go into the zip, open android-info.txt, and change any instance of spcs_001 to spcs_002. Done.

ok, so i put the hboot file on my sd card . but when i go into the bootloader and click it nothing happens? it seems to scan for images but says no images!

nm i figured it out.. i didnt put it in the root of the sd card

indeed, but still, i strongly recommend Harmonia 3.16 over any other rom, ive tested them all and this seems to be the finest..
then again everyone has preferences, so go ahead and do it, it will work just fine.

S-OFF allows you to flash anything, after getting s- off your bootloader will say that it's locked, doesn't matter.

Grrr I did the fix when it first came out and it was working GREAT.

About 3 days ago I realized my texts weren't sending. I restarted my phone and they went thru and I was flooded with texts received. It's been going on ever since. Now it seems like I'm right back where I started

Anyone else running into this?
