I have fuzzy knowledge about the spectrum technology. But we know that in MetroPCs sold out to T-mobile who uses different spectrum technology.

I'm guessing that the CDMA phones will no longer work.

But think,

That the LTE phones will still work when its T-Mobile.

Or do I not get this at all?

read the metro pcs website. metro pretty much took over tmobile and the mother company of tmobile will just own stocks. metro and tmobile will continue to be managed seperately and metro will not risk cancelling their cdma service on all their phones it is far too valuable.

CDMA is on its way out already with VoLTE.

CDMA will be gone by 2015 with the merger now.

There's no point in thinking about this now. Metro phones wont be phased out until 2015, 3 years from now. You will have a good idea by then of how things are going to work.

By 2015 you will be forced to give up your Metro phone and buy a T mobile phone.
