Is there a way to turn down the music settings, i have the media volume all the way down to the second lowest before its mutedand its still kinda loud? Is there another advanced way to change the volume if my music?

The reason you aren't getting many replies is that most people with mt complain about the low volume - not high volume.

In any case, it really depends on what you are using to play your music. If the player you are using uses preamp or gain, you can lower those. This will however lower your overall volume as well. That means you will have to up those again if you want to crank it up.

If you have DSP installed in your ROM, you might check to see if it has an option to lower volume. I don't recall if it does or not. I uninstalled it from my ROM.

Another option would be to use one of those volume apps or widgets on the market. Some are free. You might find one with more refinement on the low volume end.

Good luck.

Bump.... anybody got any suggestions? Still trying to get sound/music quieter? It seems like when I get a text or email the volume goes off then comes back on and its quieter n comfortable. But when i pause then hit play the music gets loud..too loud.

Yeah, want to trade?
:D

Hell, I just bought a FiiO E5 headphone amp to make mine loud enough to properly drive my headphones.

Maybe buy headphones with a volume control in-line, or an in-line volume control that you plug your headphones in to?

+1  Me too, when I still had my Triumph I grabbed an E6 when it first came out. Strange that after being on this forum for over a year this is the first time I've ever heard of the phone being too loud. FiiO definitely delivers a lot of bang for the buck. ;)

Another solution is to use Bluetooth stereo headphones. They have their own volume control, and being self-powered, they also solve the "other" opposite volume trouble that the vast majority complain about.

I own an older Motorola sd6 set and a newer SD9 HD set. Both sound plenty good, and allow answering phone calls, song selection, play/pause and volume controls.... And no wire.

They don't compare favorably to my grado sr80 set, but I wouldn't take those out of house or office.
