Notification Ringtones are getting reset to default everytime i connect USB cable

Hi,
I am using iBall Andi 4.5h.
I have set different notification ringtones to calls,messages,gmail notification,facebook notification and they work fine.But if i use my USB cable to transfer some data(nothing to do with the ringtone files),all the notification ringtones are reset to default
What should i do to retain them

I did lot of research on this but couldn't find a solution even with Root browser and Astro file manager so that i could paste my custom ringtones in the internal system but my phone says "operation failed" ((((

Are the custom ringtones and notification files stored on the SD card?

If so, when the phone is connected via USB, it unmounts the SD cardto allow access to the card by the computer. You can't mount the card to the phone and the computer at the same time.

After you unplug the phone, it should revert to your selected audio files. I don't have your phone, so I might be missing something in translation. If you can't get it figured out, you might want to try and backup all of your data, and perform a factory reset.

My mp3 files were stored in internal memory.

Now i deleted all those files from there and added them to SD card.But now they are not shown at all(we can't even see them while configuring any notification's ringtone).Now don't get confused that my USB is connected while i was doing this.Even if I remove USB you CAN NOT see any ringtone files!

On the contray,if we go to music player and long press a mp3 file, we can permanently set it as a ringtone but no solution for other notifications(facebook,gmail etc)

There is no question of any factory reset as this is a brand NEW phone!

Even brand new phones get shipped with a few 1's and 0's out of wack in the caches. It happens, and a factory reset usually fixes a lot of the little quirks that arise either right after purchasing a phone, or receiving a new update.

When I get an update, I immediately do a factory reset to be sure the phone has a clean slate to load everything properly.

I completely understand your reluctance to do a factory reset, with loss of data and all. My apologies for not beeing able to give you better help.
