I have had my htc one x for around 7 months now. I got an otter box for it right when I bought it. About 3 or so months ago I woke up to my backlight not working. I hadn't dropped it or gotten it wet which confused me. About a day later. Since then, my phone will go through spells where the backlight will cease to work for An extended period of time. It has recently got to the point that if I slap the back of the phone a little It will pop back on, only to die about 5 minutes later. I'm guessing this is a hardware issue, which I don't really understand. Does any one have any suggestions on what may be going on here ? Also does anyone know the process to send it back for a warranty check(I can't seem to find my way to navigate At&t's website). Additionally, if they do not cover this under warranty does anyone have an idea about the cost to repair this issue ? Thank you.

I think you may will find this is normal. Does is stay on when it is very dark? Daytime and half light. I find this issue annoying as in half light I would like the backlights.

To test your backlights just put your finger on the sensor for a second then release and the backlight should come on for a split second.
