Help Problems recognising music albums

When I transfer mp3 files onto my Galaxy which is USB mounted I can see the various music albums in file explorer. However, when I open the standard music player only a few of the albums are recognised.

Instead the songs are just scattered under "Songs". I have tried with various music players from the Market but the result is the same. This happens even though the songs are tagged.

Is there any way to make Music Player recognise the various albums?

Thanks!

I have the same problem... the music on my computer is divided by albums
(folders) but when I transfer it to Galaxy I get a mess in the player.

folders are not actually albums, they are logical folders that give you a nice visual on your desktop os
as for as the id3 tags are concerned a folder doesnt mean anything really
for example if you were to use foobar, winamp and scann your "my music" folder in windows and displayed songs by album then it would be the same as your phone

you need to get into the habit of batch editing the files or sourcing songs that have already got the id3 tags correctly set.
incorrectly tagged songs are usually a product of freeloading

there are lots of tools out there for free that can edit tags for songs in batch
