How does it work and what do you use it for? Don't know much about servers but never hurts to learn. I know I will probably end up loving the idea.

It's a terminal console, useful for connecting to various devices (unix boxes, routers, etc) and entering commands remotely.

Especially combined with Network Discovery, this is a rather powerful pocket tool.

There are plenty of how-tos and information if you search google.

Basically, you need an ssh server running on whatever machine you want to access. Then you use connectbot to connect to it, either by ip address or host-name.

If you are just wanting to ssh into a computer on your home network, from home, using the default settings is very easy and works great. If you want to access a computer on your home network, from the internet (somewhere away from home) I would suggest using encryption keys, and it gets more complicated from there.

There are new users who are told to use the tool to do a specific work. They need to learn enough before trying to start the work. Please do not assume they all have prior knowledge of tools others referring to.
