Sounds good, I guess. They really need to solve this issue somehow, though..

Isn't the reason that android 2.1 is on 25% of android phones because 25% of android phones are Motorola Droids? And if this is true, then really only 7% of the 30 "versions" of android phones have 2.1 (Nexus One and Motorola Droid). Whatever....just thinking out loud I guess.

That's kinda what I was thinking too...Droid sold/is selling like crazy...

Carriers seem to be the main problem. Daughter wanted to upgrade her phone to Galaxy Portal after seeing one in 3Store, however we are with T-Mobile and ordered it on the phone. Portal arrives and daughter complains it doesn't work the same, after lots of questionsto unhelpful help lines turnsout te phone she saw in 3Store had 2.1 on and TMobile provided theirs with 1.5.
Why can one provider get it right and one get it so wrong
