Galaxy S4 Cases and covers!

Did you confirm it's a legit Spigen case by entering the serial into Spigen's serial checking webpage? Lots of cheap knock off's are being advertised as genuine Spigen on eBay and other websites.

Just FYI, I got my China version of the Neo Hybrid and it's pretty obvious that it's a fake because the bumper is plastic, lol. My kids think my phone looks like a big iphone now, which I don't mind - I like the look of iPhone, just not the actual product. For $7 I'm glad I tried it, now I won't mind dropping the money on the real deal.

The bumper (the ring around the rubber case) is plastic on the genuine product as well.

Do you like that screen protector? I ordered it on Saturday and it will be here tomorrow.

Yes, Tech Armor Glass product was worth every penny (and cheaper than the competition to boot). I honestly don't know why it has taken me this long to move to a glass screen protector - not only will it protect the screen from those annoying scratches, but it very likely provides some additional reinforcement for the original screen for those impact situations.

I assume it arrived for you today?

That is a nice case. I had the original Samsung S View case but traded it out for an Otterbox Commuter because the original S View makes it hard for one hand operation, made it hard to get to volume control, and the original offered no protection.

Cannot be bothered with a case. If the back turns out to be as slippery as S3 I will just get a back replacement that is leathery and not slippery and I am happy. I do not have children and even if I did, I would not let them use my phone ;)

I also got one of those knock off china made Spigen cases, you know when it is a knock off when the metal buttons are attached to the TPU, on the original the buttons are part of the metal frame. The knock off case you can not slip the TPU on the phone and then the metal bumper, the metal bumper has to be on the TPU and then you slip the phone into the case "which should not be the case", also since the buttons are on the TPU itself and are HUGE, any slight pressure on the power button will turn the phone on "not a good thing". I tossed the case out, live and learn.

Um, read the Spigen instructions. You're supposed to mate the tpu with the bumper and then put the phone in or out. It very clearly states do not put the tpu on the phone first and then the bumper.

Hmm..using these factors, I may have a genuine Spigen. It has a holographic sticker on it but I don't see a card to register...and it tells me to visit the site, but is written in mandarin 👻

Just wanted to share some pictures for those that may be interested: I am going for a white/red theme so I replaced the battery cover with a red shiny plastic chrome cover. Adding the case gives it an interesting matte iridescent finish. Here's what it looks like:

That looks pretty good! Way to think outside the box with that one.

this looks like the same thing as Urban Armor Gear.....

URBAN ARMOR GEAR

Wow. Just no.

The griffin survivor is a true military grade drop/bump/crush protective case which is dustproof and highly water resistant (not submergable, but splash proof thanks to breatheable gore-tex-like panels covering speaker and mic ports.

When I get one for my S4 in the near future it'll be the third griffin survivor case I've owned. I use them hiking, kayaking, running, etc. Really awesome bit of gear, but it bulks your phone right out so it's not ideal for every day use. That's where the Urban Armor Gear and the Otterbox Commuter cases come into their own - low profile protection.

I own this case and was so excited to get it. Over I got it I was in different. It's a good case but not for more than $30

Where did you get that red cover? I found a bunch on ebay but am worried about the aluminum affecting the signal? Do you notice any signal drop with the cover on?

I got the "SAVFY New Premium Flip S-View" from Amazon. It's supposed to be leather but I'm not convinced. The back is definitely plastic but I do like it EXCEPT that the top cover won't stay closed very well. I'm thinking of some way to fix a fastener of velcro or something. I wanted a bright colour to be able to find it in my bag, and for that it definitely fits the bill.

Maybe the cover will fit better when I've used it awhile.
