Something BAD has gone awry with my trying to update from Carbon v1.7 to v1.8.

I got an error message saying my com.process.android.phone had stopped or such so I decided to restore the nand that I made just prior to this whole operation. Now I cannot get the backup to restore - any of them I have for that matter.

The phone just simply reboots to this new version THAT I DON'T EVEN WANT NOW! But I can't get rid of it! Help...

Did you spew expletives at it? Did it cower in fear? Am I a dork?
Just kidding

Try a fresh download/reflash of that rom or a different rom:)
Odd that you cannot restore a nand though

It was late when I was messing with it which should have been a 'warning'! Not sure but prolly said a few choice things :p

I did reflash a fresh one and it works fine. Only thing is I hate having to get my device set up again the way I want it - but almost there!

Oh yeah, yes. (The 'dork' question) :car:

Not familiar with the "TW camera software"...what's the deal with that?

I prefer the AOSP ROM's over the TW-ers :D

Not sure it's as important with the S3 vs the S4 but take a look at the camera samples of the S4 vs the S4GPE and see that the AOSP camera just doesn't have as good software as the Samsung/Touchwiz one:

(and I hope we answered the OP's question as this thread is getting way OT ;))

Thanks, I'll take a look.

BTW, I am the OP :p and I have the answer to the original issue :)
