So,I have had CM10 on my droid X2 for about the last 2 weeks and my impression so far is not very good.

I have had many force closes and downright crashes so far.The browser has force closed numerous times, taking me back to the phone's home screen, and then back to the google page upon re-opening the browser.

While on the phone,I have had the phone crash, requiring battery pulls to reboot, the battery being above 60% during those incidents.

And the email program is just a joke,I would say it force closes 50% of the time when I tap on an email to view it.

But for 3/4 of the time it is OK.I am coming from CM 7.2 and was looking for an upgrade that would operate a little bit better, but I have never experienced so many crashes on a phone before.

I am hoping to get some advice as to what I need to do and how to use the phone better to not make it crash and force close so often.

Are you using the stable release or nightlie.?

I am using the dragonzkiller ROM from here [ROM][ALPHA][JB]CyanogenMod 10 Alpha 3 [UPDATED 1/13] - xda-developers

I am pretty sure that is the only available version for the droid X2,correct me if I am wrong.

I believe THE MIB is running it also.I don't game with the phone at all.I use it for internet browsing, photos,SMS,MMS text and a lot of voice. So I don't think I stress the phone too much as far as it's capabilities.

I just picked up another X2,almost new for $60.So I can have a backup in case this one craps out.But I tend to think it is not a hardware issue.:smokingsomb:

I haven't used cm10 for a while, force closes was a major problem with dx2's cm10, really need to read through original thread, for the app versions that worked the best, think the inverted gapps helped.

if you want a stable rom try eclipse or cm7

After another week,I must officially declare CM10 on the DX2 a total fail.I'm pretty disappointed I put the time and effort to install it on my phone.

The list of fails include:

Just a ton of constant force closes. The browser closes an alarming amount.I have had force closes with texts, email,my navigation program, youtube and with the telephone, which crashed the phone during a few calls and required battery pulls.Probably other things force closed, just these come to mind now.

The camera also force closed like crazy. One time it crashed the phone requiring a battery pull. The latest fail I noticed, while taking photos in a dark area was that the flash is out of sync,it actually lights the area up before the photo is taken and then clicks off just before the photo is snapped.I could not believe it.

I couldn't figure out how to text photos.I kept getting a message "file size too large" when trying to text a photo.I could not find any settings to adjust the file size on a photo to allow it to be sent.

In short, the CM10 Rom is a complete joke.I can't believe anyone could possibly recommend it.I thought I was "upgrading" from CM7.2,which I had grown weary of.But it was 100x better than the CM10.

Ant suggestion on a ROM to try.If it ain't reliable.I'm not interested.
